Great experience in Yunnan We did a customized tour across multiple cities in Yunnan (Kunming, Yuanyang, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La), as well as Guilin, and it was an amazing experience—especially given how warm and green it was even in winter. The itinerary offered a great mix of nature, history, and local culture.Penny was fantastic and helped coordinate everything from start to finish, including the itinerary, guides, hotels, and transportation. She was highly responsive and had strong attention to detail. Our tour guides were all very nice, knowledgeable and fluent in English.The only couple things I would say are: (1) while the monastery in Shangri-La was interesting, there wasn’t much to see in Potatso National Park, and (2) Baishuitai was beautiful, but conservation is definitely an issue. We saw local women digging up and selling pieces of the rock formation while we were there.

Guides are knowledgeable in their city's history but not helpful in getting the full experience of China I wouldn't recommend this tour for anyone unless your sole purpose is to learn abiut China's history. I would say it isn't a friendly place to travel with someone with a disability either. Other than that, Penny was an amazing trip advisor who was always available and attentive to our tour.Beijing: Our guide was Steven. He had a mass knowledge about the history but was not patient in our self exploration. It felt like he was always rushing us during places where there wasn't as much history, not allowing time to go shopping, exploring the destination, and experiencing the culture.Xi'an: Our guide was Susan. She also had a mass knowledge about their history but was not observant of the pacing. She did everything at her pace even though we required a slow pace for our companion with a disability. She also was not patient with our self exploration and was also rushing us. Zhanggijajie: Our guide was Chandler. He was amazing and this was what we expected from all our guides. He told us the basics of the history and answered questions as we had them, allowed us to self explore and was really patient with us, helped us translate and pay for things. He was a great guide going above and beyond what he needed to. Wangxian Valley (Vagoo): Our guide was Coby. His English comprehension wasn't as good as others but helpful and friendly. I'd recommend you bring tissues/wipes (for bathrooms), bring a lot of masks (sewer smell, bathroom smell, and smoking everywhere) get the necessary apps (didi, alipay, Google translate, wechat) before the trip. This will be super helpful after the tour guides drop you off if you want to self explore.

Highly recommended Chongqing - Wulong - Zhangjiajie China tour We booked a 9 day tour to Chongqing - Wulong - Zhangjiajie with China Educational Tours. My daughter (20) and myself (50) were looking for a tour company that could provide an in-depth dive into the culture and beauty of China, while providing a good balance to our needs and interest. With China Educational Tours we found an excellent partner fulfilling all our wishes and our special requests. This was from the planning stage where our special request to visiting a local village was added to the program. Following with excellent schedule panning. And resulting with our driver taking us to his home town with beautiful hospitality and friendship. This was unconventional, deeply touching and an amazing experience. By all means the highlight of the trip to China. I believe this was possible thanks to China Educational Tour's professionalism, attentiveness and dedication to provide us with the best possible experience. Incredible heritage tour I could not have asked for a better tour experience from China Education Tours. I originally contacted Michael Hu about a heritage tour 3 years ago. Despite extensive changes to the timing and itinerary of the trip, Michael was always attentive and went above and beyond to make the trip special for us. Every tour guide we had was knowledgeable and kind. We customized the trip, making sure we got to see everything we wanted for my friend and I’s first trip back to China since being adopted. In Hefei our hometown, Michael and our tour guide Mr. Ding went above and beyond to connect us to as much knowledge and people that cared for us before being adopted, making the trip extra special and memorable. This review will not be able to fully capture the gratitude I have for Michael and his team, but I could not recommend them enough. When I return to China, they will be the first people I contact.

An Amazing Tour of China with China Educational Tours We had an amazing month in China with China Educational Tours. It was a private tour for two couples. It was perfectly organized by Daisy, our wonderful travel agent. She was professional, caring, and always quick to meet our every request. Nothing was ever too much trouble! The company is honest and reliable. After a week of touring, they reimbursed us when we chose to skip lunch for the remainder of our trip in order to see more sights. The local guides were outstanding: intelligent, knowledgeable, caring, and really nice to be in their company. We visited Beijing, Datong, Xian, Pingyao, Lijiang, Kunming scenic area, Wanfenglin Scenic area, Fenghuang Old Town, Furong Old Town, Zhangjiajie, Xiamen, Tolou Scenic area, Wuyishan, and Shanghai. Everything ran smoothly, and we came home with unforgettable memories. We highly recommend Daisy and her team at China Educational Tours for anyone planning a trip to China!

Amazing for solo travelers too! China Educational Tours provided an outstanding experience for me as a solo traveler looking to learn about Chinese culture and manufacturing. See the best of Yunnan with the best company and guide. We hit the jackpot when we selected Penny at China Educational Tours and tour guide, Karma. Their passion and professionalism ensured our expectations were comprehensively exceeded. An amazing and fascinating trip We returned from a trip to China, which was organized by China Educational Tours. The trip was a fascinating and enjoyable two-week trip. Wonderful! I had a few days to explore Yangshuo and Guilin, and decided to do a personal tour with CET - and what a great experience it was!I'm glad I went with a personal tour - Daisy tailored everything in advance, and was very helpful along the way. Shirley, who was the guide, answered my never-ending questions, shared a lot of historical backgrounds of various places, and helped with translations, which I appreciate. The driver Lu was also very professional and helpful. I highly recommend CET, and will book them again, if I have time on my next visit. As a matter of fact, such tours make me want to visit other cities and provinces of China and continue to study its history!

Great Holiday! e had our private tour itinerary planned out by Jade. She is very professional advising on this trip especially I had my mom 84 yrs old with me. Jade was patient with me. Prompt replies even on weekends as our trip was pretty last minute planned. We were able to adjust it to our liking.We were touring in Lijiang and Guilin. Guides and drivers were very attentive.
