They were prompt and clean and did a very nice patch job on a hole in the firebox. I did have an issue on the billing and they addressed it at first request. They fully get the client relationship as a small business should.

We hired them to come out and do a cleaning. They scheduled an appointment from between 2 and 5 PM. Around 4 o’clock they called and said they can’t make it do I want to reschedule. I had no choice but to say yes, but they couldn’t fit me in for a week. I’m not sure how you cancel someone’s appointment and then don’t try to squeeze them in at some point. I got a phone call about a half hour later from a tech saying if it was just a cleaning he could still come out but he wouldn’t be able to inspect the outside because it would be dark. I said that was OK. I had taken the day off. He told me he would call after his current appointment was done. I never received a phone call.

Overall, I was not satisfied with the service for several reasons. My house has three chimneys: one connected to the heating furnace, one with a fireplace insert, and one regular fireplace. The company’s website advertises standard chimney cleaning for $99, which includes full maintenance for a regular fireplace — so I expected the technician to be prepared for that.
The technician arrived at 5 PM, when it was already dark, and immediately said it was too dark to inspect the exterior of the chimneys properly. He also seemed surprised that I had three chimneys to inspect and was clearly not aware of the full scope of the job, despite this information being provided beforehand.
He then claimed that my fireplace insert should be treated as a “stove,” and therefore the $99 price would not apply. However, this made no sense.
A stove is a freestanding unit, often requiring disassembly or removal of parts for cleaning.
A fireplace insert, on the other hand, is a unit that sits inside an existing fireplace, and cleaning it is generally the same as cleaning a standard fireplace flue.
In my case, he did not remove or disassemble anything — he simply inserted his brush into the flue, exactly as he would with any regular fireplace.
Despite performing the exact same procedure as a standard $99 cleaning, he charged me $200 for the insert plus an additional fee for the regular fireplace. He also refused to look at the furnace-connected chimney entirely.
In total, I paid $300 for about 20 minutes of work — a quick brush up the flue and a bit of vacuuming in the firebox. The only good part of the experience was that I saw how simple the process is, so I will be doing it myself next season.
We waited to hear from anyone to confirm the time and date- no confirmation was set. Our service appt. had a window from 10 am- 1pm. Again, no word from technicians or receptionist if they were coming or running late- At 1:45- a technician called and said they were running late all day- and will be at the house in an hour!
We cancelled- will schedule with a more reliable company.
Very thorough, very professional. They did a big restoration job on my chimney. They will be my go-to for chimney services in the future.

Matthew and another service man, came to our home 11/7/2025 to check our chimney. They arrived between the hours originally scheduled, were professional, explained everything in details and gave us an estimate for future service. I would definitely recommend them.
