From the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness and respect , both things which are lacking in today’s society . Mr Williams was so friendly and even engraved my bible while I waited ( less then 10-15 minutes ). You just don’t get service like that often , so if your looking to have anything engraved bibles , guns & etc Mr Williams at Carver and Coat is your man.

Who knew a small wooden box could be turned into a family keepsake so quickly! I sent pictures from my phone and dropped the box off, by that afternoon I had a super detailed snapshot of a moment in time, that meant the world to the person it was given to. Inside I placed a few more pictures and just like that, a keepsake box that could be passed down through generations, was born.

When my son was a toddler I bought him a wooden rocking chair and dated one of the runners. Then my granddaughter was born and the tradition started as I passed it on to her with her name and date on the other runner. I bought one for my grandson when he was born and acquired another before I knew I had another grandchild on the way. It occurred to me that one of my grandsons had been inadvertently left out. He was older when he became my grandson so naturally I didn't get him a toddler rocker. I wanted to get him something personalized so I bought him a knife and set out to find a place to engrave it. I looked up "engraving" here on Google Maps and decided to stop by Dirigo. I'm so glad I did! I don't want to say the man's name that greeted me as I'm terrible remembering names and don't want to get it wrong but he greeted me in a very friendly and professional manner. I tend to get caught up in conversation with the kind of friendly and responsive people like he was and I did. After I dropped the knife off I realized I hadn't even discussed what kind type of text to put on the blades. I was having my grandson's name put on one and the date on another. Oh well. When I picked up the knife the next day I couldn't wait to see my grandson to give it to him. It turned out great! Forgive me for picture quality. I boxed it back up for my grandson without thinking about pics and the one I'm including came from a text of the finished product. I don't do much "typing" on my phone so I texted the pic to my email to do this review on my laptop and it may not be as good a quality pic as it was. Also, I didn't want to put my grandson's name out in a public way so I only included the blade with the date. If you have something of sentimental value or something you hope to be of sentimental value to someone else that you want engraved Dirigo Customs is the place to go.
