My car was involved in a little argument with a double decker. Cars were assigned to do the repairs on my car. I have to say that the team are brilliant. They are friendly and professional. The repair on my car is first class. When I went to pick up my car it was like looking at a new vehicle. If you need a repair don’t go anywhere else. Thank you to everyone that was involved in looking after me.

Absolute flawless team that work here. I had some work done and from the first phone call to then picking the car up once the work had been completed was great. Everyone there is so polite and they make everything so easy. 100% would recommend hassle free. Paint work done was absolutely spot on.

Victim of a violet hand carwash, Cars helped by sticking back the trim with minimum fuss and maximum professionalism despite the small nature of the repair. After paying their modest
invoice I still have all my arms and legs so I'll be back if I have any more car trauma. So grateful that the Cars team were not the rlp off merchants I encountered at the car wash. Their excellent coffee and sympathy were very restorative, genuinely nice people.

I honestly can’t recommend CARS highly enough. From the very first phone call with Sam, the service was professional, friendly, and reassuring. I brought the car in, they went above and beyond to properly assess what was needed rather than just doing the bare minimum.
What really stood out was their honesty — no upselling, just a clear and genuine explanation of the work required. They kept me updated throughout the process, which gave me real confidence that everything was being handled properly.

Many thanks to Cars for the very professional advice and care taken to repair my Renault Captur after a front bumper accident,Mark and Sam where great with the competitive quote,same day received that Quote given the go ahead,was offered a lift home to Waltham,as my wife was unable to drive me.I dropped off the car on a Friday the work was completely to a fantastic quality by the Next Tuesday,was picked up from home to collect the car,very impressed by the sevice and the two lads that drove me.5⭐.

My car was repaired by cars of grimsby and I couldn't of picked a better garage to have it fix after a none fault accident from dropping it off to picking it up after the repair was a good experience. I’ve been driving for about a year now, so I’m still practically a new driver, and I’d never been involved in an incident before — especially not one that wasn’t my fault. In this case, I wasn’t even in the vehicle at the time, as it was parked. When it happened, I honestly didn’t know what to do at all.
I searched for a garage and Cars of Grimsby was the first one that came up, with great reviews, so I decided to go with them — and I’m so glad I did.
From day one, Sam has been incredibly helpful. Sam, Mark, and Jason all spoke directly to the third-party insurance and the insurance engineer on my behalf because I felt completely overwhelmed and under a lot of pressure. I didn’t understand the process at all, and it felt like too much to deal with on my own, so having them take control and speak for me made such a huge difference.
For over a month, the third-party insurance kept insisting that my car would be written off and claimed that it was undriveable, which simply wasn’t true. I had already driven my car multiple times — to Hull and back, Barton-upon-Humber, and around Grimsby — with no issues. The main damage was to the boot, but the car itself was absolutely drivable.
Despite this, the insurers continued to push for the car to be written off, stating that the repair percentage was too high, that it was uneconomical to repair, that it was undriveable, and that it was also considered a total loss. As the car is on finance, this was incredibly stressful, as I was genuinely worried I’d end up paying for a car I wouldn’t even own anymore. Sam, Mark, and Jason didn’t give up and kept challenging the decision, and after over a month of back-and-forth, the third-party insurance finally agreed to repair my car instead of writing it off or putting it into a category.
From the moment the third-party insurance confirmed that the car could be repaired, everything moved incredibly quickly. My car was fully fixed within a week — including the weekend — which I was so impressed and grateful for after everything that had happened.
I’m beyond grateful for the persistence, support, and reassurance I received throughout the whole process. It turned an incredibly stressful situation into something manageable and gave me so much peace of mind.
I would 100% recommend Cars of Grimsby to anyone — especially new drivers or anyone who doesn’t fully understand the whole process of owning a car and dealing with insurance. That was me. If you have a car but don’t know the next steps, or if you ever find yourself dealing with third parties or vehicle damage after an incident, this is absolutely the garage you should go to. For future reference, if anything ever happens to my car or if I need any repairs done, I will definitely be coming back here without fail.
