DO NOT ORDER ANY VEHICLE FROM THEM AND CERTAINLY DON'T BUY THEIR INSURANCE!!!
I paid for a zero excess insurance, made an accident, and instead of paying the damage claimed by europcar of €3000, they decided to refund me $340.
In addition when placed the reservation they had said there was no cancellation fee and no hidden costs, but after payment they asked for 10% to cancel. I'm so sorry I didn't cancel at the time.
It's seems that we are going to meet in court.

HUGE SAVINGS
I usually do correct reviews, but I saw some negative reviews and wanted to share my experience. My first rental with C8 was on Maui a few years ago, just after covid. most cars were ridiculously priced, like three times the average rate. I searched everywhere, and it was well over $1000 a week. I found C8 and got a rate of around $400 out the door. I've used them 6-7 more times on Maui, Seattle, and Virginia and have found the best rate by far with them. They are like my little hidden gem. I've made changes and added days. They work with all the major car companies and broker cars, 3rd party at a reduced rate. Like pricline just for cars..I usually get Hertz, Dollar or one of the larger companies. Once you pick up the car, you pretty much become a Hertz customer or whoever you end up with.

I booked a car for 1 month in Italy
I booked a car for 1 month in Italy. The initial transaction did not go through as my bank thought CarRental8 was a suspicious entity. I used another card and it went through. I received confirmation of the booking and everything was fine. The next morning I received a notice of cancellation of the booking by CarRental8. They reimbursed the USD amount, but I used a card in Canadian dollars and as a result I LOST over 100$... They are refusing to make me whole even though this was a cancellation decision they made on their own (even without contacting me first!). BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

they are totally not professional and the customer service is either not responding or not giving solution, i cancelled with them and booked with the car supplier supplier which saved me money despite their claimed cancellation fees, noting that i have chosen extra cancelation protection while booking but still they deducted money.

$55 for Nothing!!!!
I made a reservation but after reading reviews, I decided to cancel. The reservation was active for no more than 5 min but they charged me $55 and would not refund it. At my destination, I did ask Fox Rent-a-Car about CarRental8 and they said that they have had problems.

Don’t rent a car from this company!!!!!!
I rented a car for my son to come home for Christmas. When he got to the desk he was told that he could not rent the car because he didn’t have my credit card in hand. I had called the company and asked if I could pre-pay for the car which they allowed and my son could just pick it up absolutely not true nor would the clerk at the desk bother speaking to me he said, and I quote I don’t want to talk to her. I have never heard such a rude comments. Coming out of somebody in customer service. Do not rent from car rentals eight because you probably won’t actually get a car after calling the company to get my money back they refused to give me the insurance money that I paid for said car, very unprofessional company .

Be careful - they are not responsive to changes or things going wrong (ended up without a car)
DONT RECOMMEND - BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING! They don't take responsibility for making sure your booking is actually confirmed with the car provider. I booked with car rental 8 and they confirmed a car would be waiting for me in Barcelona with Europcar, and when I arrived to Barcelona, Europcar said there was no car available due to holidays and that because I booked with car rental 8, they would not find any car. When I called customer support from car rental 8 they said they could not do anything, and that I would have to book last minute in the airport with another provider, which ended up costing me 2x the price.
Also, it's been almost a week and they still have not confirmed they will refund, and instead just ask questions over email. It's insane they 1) did not provide the car, 2) did not help when the issue happened, and 3) are not refunding.

Scam alert!
Total scam. We put in dates and hit confirm. Then we get a confirmation with different dates. When we tried to modify it, the price changed. There was no clear way to cancel, so we called. The agent, "LeBron," kept trying to negotiate the cancellation, then told me there was a $75 cancellation fee. Total dirtbag. I will dispute it with Visa, but meantime want to share my experience to spare others from dealing with this unethical company..

Buyer beware…this company at place you with carriers that force additional fees
We had an absolutely terrible experience. They placed us with a rental car company that doesn’t acknowledge American Family Insurance. We were forced to buy additional insurance coverage that exceeded the rental. The other option was forfeiting the car rental payment and going elsewhere. Adding insult to injury, they placed a 250 hold on the credit card for deposit and then handed us the keys to a car with a massive dent in the bumper.

Scam. Save you money
Absolute scam. Paid for a car for 14 days they vendor never turned up. Car rental8 only returned my messages after I put in a claim with my bank. They messaged to say they would issue a refund. No refund was issued they are disputing it with the bank

WENT 120 MILES OUT OF THE WAY TO GET CAR,WAS TOLD I WAS 11 MINUTES LATE AND GAVE CAR AWAY,WHICH WAS BS.HAD MY 92 YEAR OLD MOM WITH ME,CAR WAS TO BE FOR IN CASE SHE NEEDED A MEDICAL RUN.THE FAULT IS WITH CARRENTAL8 & BUDGIT ON 65 SOUTH STREET, AT FERRY.WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

My experience was terrible!
My experience was terrible. I booked a reservation for pickup at the New Orleans airport. When my plane got in there was nobody at the Thrifty rental counter. Even though I had pre-paid the rental I had to rent another car with Avis because they were the only ones open. Additionally, there was an error in the rental which they were unwilling to correct because it was pre-paid. I'll never rent from them again!!!

SCAM, CHEATING CUSTOMER.
WORST EVER, I WOULD LIKE TO RATE IT ZERO STAR IF THERE IS AN OPTION. THEY ARE SHOWING THE LOW PRICE ON THE WEB SITE BUT WHEN YOU CLICK ON IT, THE PRICE JUMPED UP. A MINITE LATER IT DROPPED DOWN AGAIN TO LOWER PRICE FROM BEFORE. IF YOU ARE FAST ENOUGH TO CATCH THE LOWER PRICE, THE WEB SITE WOULD CHARGE YOU FULL AMOUNT AND GIVE YOU BOOKING NUMBER RIGHT AWAY AND TELL YOU THAT THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO YOU IN 24 HOURS, BUT THEY DIDN'T KEEP THEIR PROMISE. FIVE DAYS LATER I CALL THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE FIND OUT THE ORDER BEEN CANCELED BY THEM WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME, THE CUSTOMER, BUT THEY WERE STILL HOLDING THE MONEY I ALREADY PAID UNTIL I CALLED THEM. CUSTOMER SERVICE TIME IS ALSO VERY LIMITED, VERY INCONVENIENT, AND THEY DO NOT REPLY TO ANY OF MY EMAILS.

VERY Bad Experience
Terrible experience. NEVER use these guys !!!
After getting a confirmation # we went to pick up the car in Munich only to find out that CarRental8.com have canceled the rental for "suspected fraud" reason. This is nonsense. My credit card payment was verified on-line at the time of purchase. Instead of getting a car for a confirmed reservation for 2 weeks for unlimited mileage for ± $700, we had to pay over $5,000 for that same deal as there was no other options and we would have loose all hotel bookings in Europe if we did not start traveling that night.

CarRental 8 refused to honor their promise for free amendment to the agreement
I rented a car through Car Rental 8 that included "Plus your rental comes with Free Amendments" on the confirmation. When my airline changed the arrival time on my flight I asked them to modify the pickup time on the car rental to match the flight change. Instead of honoring their promise to make the modification for free, they said the fee would increase 200% to make the change. When I protested they said they can change the prices whenever they want. Never do business with this company.
