I had a very good experience with this company. Gabriela answered my call politely and responded to all my questions. Jhoely Diaz, the technician who inspected our system, explained the problem and gave me options to prevent future issues or damage. Great team and service.

I had Carls come out and check on two systems in my home for a second opinion. They were respectful, professional, and prompt. They did disclose the price for inspection of two systems ahead of time, but it was about 2.5x what other companies had charged. At the end of the first visit the technician left a comprehensive report and suggested both units be replaced and said a second technician would come out to get into the specifics. The follow-up appointment was about 2 hours of upselling for ductwork and efficiency ratings and optional features before getting to the cost of two new systems, which again was considerably more expensive than the competitors. I’m giving three stars as the price was high and the service didn’t seem to focus on what I wanted but more on upselling.

If you need a new A/C or any A/C service at all, I could not recommend this company more. In the service industry, it is sometimes difficult to find an honest, reputable company who gives 200% to all they do. The initial visit was quick and "painless". The installation went perfectly and when they left after completion, the only way we knew they had been there was the cold air coming out of those brand-new white vents. All boxes and old vents, unit etc was hauled off so that we did not have to deal with it. We will forever recommend this company!

Please read to the end so if you identify with my issues you are warned. The unit along with a dehumidifier was in stalled as a new build. So Carl's had full design of what was needed and how it was installed. No excuses on trying to deal with issues of wrongful installation from some other company. The unit was a Carrier 5 ton heat pump with a Honeywell dehumidifier connected to be first line dehumidification. Meaning the dehumidifier pulled in fresh Houston humid air and dehumidified it, dumping 100+ degree air into the home for the A/C to pull back through air handlers and cool or heat. After multiple failures of the dehumidifier with replacements x3. Honeywell was contacted (by me) and they became involved. The dehumidifier was too small and not intended to be first line humification. Carl's came and rerouted the unit at my expense! Honeywell did step up to plate and reimburse Carl's money to repay me installation fees of a new unit. That's the dehumidifier issue. The Air handler had multiple problems, recent with the cold weather in January leaving us without heat. I called for repair or help and was told I was out of the emergency area even though I was a "VIP" (500-/+ year extra service fee). Granted conditions of the roads were questionable at 12 in the afternoon at time of call. I begged tech to at least walk me through possible fix issues. My neighbors tech does that with him over the years until he can get out to repair....humm. Hoping for the same service. Next day did arrive with service only to find out issue was from a previous repair. So short story this was an issue of repeated repairs over 5 years, rarely under warranty and at full expense of labor if it was. Which sometimes required two techs and had to pay full hourly labor on both. They were band-aiding a crappy product with an improper install, limping it along at our expense. Never did they say hay, let's redo this and make it right. Or did management ever return my phone calls. They just made their techs take all the dirty work and listen to my complaints of why is this happing. Im old I've been around and have never had so many issues with an A/C. Do I think they have bad Techs, NO. But somebody should have spoken up. If you keep experiencing issues get a second opinion. I should have listen to Honeywell and moved on two years ago. Today new company, totally new unit after over 7k repairs in a 5year unit. Don't let them band-aid your unit. Get a second opinion. I feel like they were laughing at us enjoying our money as long as we would pay and trust them. So any rebuttal would come too late. they did the install, put the unit in and serviced it yearly. No one else is the blame. Your a/c unit is only good as your install! Two stars are for the Techs only.

Over the years, there were equipment failures and service issues that understandably caused frustration. We also identified instances where we could have handled things better — particularly regarding a heating kit repair during the winter freeze and a diagnostic charge that should not have been applied. We take responsibility for those mistakes.

We also recognize that when repeated repairs occur, leadership involvement and proactive communication are critical. In your case, we fell short of the standard we aim to uphold.

Your feedback has prompted us to strengthen our escalation procedures, warranty billing checks, and installation verification processes to prevent similar situations in the future.

We genuinely appreciate the years you allowed us to serve your home, and we are sorry that, over time, your confidence in us diminished. We wish you comfort and reliability with your new system moving forward.

Had our annual furnace check-up with technician, Cade. Cade was punctual and professional, took the time to explain exactly what he was looking at, and provided recommendations on the proper setup of our Honeywell thermostat. Highly recommend their maintenance plan!

Although I haven't yet received my scheduled service with Carl's, if the technicians on their staff are as friendly and attentive as the young lady I talked to on the phone I'll never need to call another AC repair company. Gabriela answered my call and her liveliness and humor immediately brightened my day. She scheduled me for a routine check up and informed me of both the services I would be receiving in this visit, and of the proper schedule for performing additional maintenance in the future. I think Carl's Cooling is lucky to have such a friendly voice as the introduction to their company.

I CAN ONLY SAY IT WAS THE MOST EXCELLENT INSTALLATION,EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WAS EXPLAINED WITH KINDNESS ,WHICH IS A RARE IN THESE FASTTIMES, I WOULD GIVE A 10 STAR IF POSSIBLE ,BUT MIGHT HAVE TO SETTLE FOR 5 AGAIN. I called Carl’s Quality Cooling & Heating today after our gas company identified a gas leak and traced it back to our furnace. From the moment I contacted their dispatch line, everything was handled professionally and with urgency. They had technician Kevin Jones out to our property within the hour, which was greatly appreciated given the situation. Kevin took his time to thoroughly diagnose and fix the issue, and once he was finished, he walked me through everything step-by-step so I clearly understood what was done.
