Carlos and his assistant Dorothy are absolutely awesome. Such incredibly nice people. Carlos is amazing with the dogs and my boy Bravo loved him. Its obvious watching him with his own personal dog Brava that he was a kind and fair trainer. I can not recommend him enough. I have been in the "dog world" since the 80's and can tell you that he is one of the best. Do not hesitate to send your pup to him, they will be very well taken care of.

Have you ever lost your soul dog—the calm, well-behaved, perfect companion—and wondered how you’d ever open your heart again? That was me. After my beloved senior rescue crossed the rainbow bridge, I decided to foster again. That’s when I met Macy.
If you’ve seen Marley & Me, you’ve met Macy in spirit. She had been returned to the shelter twice for chasing cats, brought in by animal control, and left outside in freezing temperatures. One day, while volunteering at the shelter, I saw her—same color as my late dog—and my heart melted. I brought her home as a foster. Within a week, she became a “foster fail” and part of our family.
But Macy came with a storm of behaviors I couldn’t manage. Accidents in the house, counter surfing, jumping on guests, pulling so hard on walks I lost circulation in my wrist, leaping over gates, and relentlessly chasing our rescue cat. She even ate a Bible—cover to cover—and a pair of leather loafers. We were exhausted, overwhelmed, and losing hope.
I refused to give up on her.
We tried a home trainer—kind, but not equipped for Macy’s intensity. After weeks of searching, we found CRK9. From the first call, Alyse listened with empathy and understanding. When we met Carlos, who spoke fluent Spanish, it was a blessing for my senior parents to fully grasp the training philosophy and expectations.
We enrolled Macy, and the updates began. Progress was slow—she needed more time than most—but she came back transformed. The passion Alyse, Carlos, and the CRK9 team have is rare and real. They didn’t just train Macy—they gave us our life back.
Of course, training doesn’t end at pickup. We had a setback with Macy chasing the cat again. Alyse offered guidance over the phone, and Carlos even made a home visit to ensure we had the right tools and support.

Just moved to Florida and took my dog Bravo out to his beautiful farm. First, what an awesome guy. Second, he is an absolutely incredible trainer. He explained to Bravo exactly what he wanted from him. Pushing him but not too much, meanwhile telling me what he was doing and why. Can not recommend him enough.

This was my first experience as a dog owner, and not only did my dog Izzy need training — I did too! Throughout her stay, the team stayed in regular contact, keeping us updated on her progress and even sending photos, including a sweet birthday message for my son. Since completing the program, they’ve continued to be incredibly supportive and responsive, always making themselves available to answer any questions. I truly appreciate their dedication and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for expert training and ongoing support.

Carlos and his team at CRK9 have completely changed the quality of life for us. There truly is no way to thank them for what they have done with Blue. For years I have struggled with Blue’s reactivity and had grown beyond frustrated and helpless. Blue spent 7 weeks with Carlos and the change has been incredible. Carlos did an amazing job with Dixie. I got Dixie from the shelter in Marion County. She is 8 yrs old and was turned in by family members after her person died. Dixie needed recall and behavior training. She went into the board and train program for 4’weeks and presto!! Dixie has learned exactly what she needed to live a successful life and learned commands to keep her safe. Thank you Carlos. She smiles.

Honestly I do not know what to think. Carlos came highly recommended by everyone. Went I inquired with them over the phone they recommended their board & train with an extremely hefty price. I had my evaluation with both dogs at their facility. Carlos suggested at home training as he did not feel it would be beneficial to seperate my dogs for a month. He said his staff would contact me with the information and that there would be no set 6 week or 12 week, just a pay by lesson type until the issue was resolved. Well, I waited for the staff to reach out. I waited 3 days and then reached out, explained what carlos suggested. They said they will get with carlos about it and get back to me. The next day the message I hot was with his first available date and that lessons would be at their facility. No other information! I responded saying okay to the date & time along with a few of the many questions I had. I got NO RESPONSE!! When it was board and train I got SO MUCH information. When its "their" suggested pay by lesson its crickets! So I did not go to our first session and actually found another trainer.

After your evaluation, it was our understanding that a customized, pay-by-lesson approach would be best for your dogs, as recommended by Carlos. Unfortunately, it appears there was a significant misunderstanding and delay in following up with you to finalize these arrangements. For this, we are truly sorry. Currently, we are not scheduling private lessons, which likely contributed to the miscommunication. This is an area we are actively working on improving to prevent such situations in the future.
We are disappointed to learn that you have decided to go with another trainer, but we understand your decision given the circumstances. While we regret not having the opportunity to work with you and your dogs, your feedback is invaluable to us and will be used to improve our services and communication processes.
