Carl was recommended to us by a family member, and after working with him it's easy to see why. Having made multiple interstate moves, and worked with a bunch of different real estate agents in the past, I can honestly say that Carl is the best realtor we've ever worked with. He is personable, responsive, and professional. Carl always managed to schedule showings for us that were both efficient and convenient considering our 2+ hour travel time. If Carl was unavailable, he made sure that one of his associates was available and informed of our situation and needs. Carl helped us buy our forever home and made the process easy and stress free. As a young first-time homebuyer, I couldn’t have asked for a better realtor than Carl. From day one, he truly looked out for my best interests and made what could have been an overwhelming process feel comfortable and manageable. Based on first impressions, we were optimistic about the experience of working with Carl. We had already worked with several other realtors and had a good understanding of what we were looking for - Carl seemed to fit the bill. He was personable, proactive, and had the data to back up his claims. Unfortunately, as soon as his big payday was under contract, communication went cold. We were no longer informed on what was going on, our questions received no response, and our phone calls and emails were left unanswered. This ultimately destroyed the most important facet of a client-realtor relationship: trust. We could not trust Carl Guild & Associates with the safety of our home, the timely and ethical execution of our transactions, or even the simplest of tasks such as scheduling appointments and properly filling out paperwork. Ultimately, while it seems my experience is in the minority, I have to recommend working with someone else if you want to sleep easy at night during the homebuying/selling process.

Inspections and negotiations were handled promptly, and the sale closed in less than 30 days. Most sellers only dream of a sale that smooth!

My mom died in January and we needed a realtor to sell her house. Since most of us no longer live in East Hampton Ct we didn’t know who to call. My son Dalton is a realtor in Florida and did a search for us. Carl Guild clearly came up as the front runner. I gave Carl a call and found him to be very knowledgeable about the local market and personable. I checked with a few folks in East Hampton and heard only good things.
