From the first call I made to Caring Pathways to Dr. Kira’s initial consultation and then to Dr. Gina, who assisted my sweet pup’s passing, every person I encountered was exceptional. The support and client care teams and the veterinarians all showed the deepest care, understanding, and professionalism.
I reached out to Caring Pathways when I understood that my pup could no longer receive further treatment at her veterinary clinic. Her cancer and IVDD had progressed to the point that she was homebound, and she needed palliative and hospice care. That care brought immense peace to my heart and mind. It allowed me a couple of precious weeks with my sweet Lexi before her cancer suddenly shifted and her quality of life rapidly declined.
It is hard for me to write this review. Even after more than a month, my grief is still tender and it feels impossible to fully express how grateful I am for Caring Pathways. What I can say is that I highly recommend them, especially during the palliative and end of life stages. I felt we were in compassionate and steady hands, and when the time came to make the hardest decision, I had a team who knew Lexi and understood what would be best for her.

While the day was so unbelievably difficult, Caring Pathways made it a very peaceful experience. The vet, Mindy Brewster DVM, was so wonderful and caring, she explained everything that would happen and gave us all the time we needed. If anyone needs to say goodbye to their fur baby, please use them, you won’t regret it, I promise.

I used Caring Pathways back in June of 2025, and while this review is coming late, it needed to be written. This organization is the kind of steady, compassionate presence you hope exists in the world, especially when you are moving through one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face.
From the first call, every single person I spoke with was calm, patient, and genuinely kind. There was no rush, no coldness, no scripted responses. Just real humans who clearly understand the weight of what you are carrying. The entire process was smooth and thoughtfully explained, and they made sure I always knew what the next step was.
Being able to say goodbye to my dog, Rico, at home changed everything. He was in his own space, surrounded by his people, relaxed and safe. That alone made the experience feel humane and deeply respectful. Dr. Chaz gave us the time we needed without ever making us feel watched or nudged along. He held space for us in a way that felt natural and steady, and I will always be grateful for that.
Afterward, they continued to show that same care. I received a handwritten card from the Dr. Chaz, another from the company, and an email about grief support. It was thoughtful and sincere, not performative. Just people being good at being people.
Yes, it costs more than a standard vet visit, but it is worth every penny. It was my first time having to make this kind of choice, and I could not have asked for a more comforting, gentle, or humane experience for Rico or for myself. If you are facing this decision, I cannot recommend Caring Pathways enough. They made the hardest moment feel a little less dark, and that is something I will never forget.

Dr. Kira Forlenza with Caring Pathways recently helped us with the home euthanasia of our 15 year old dog. Layla had always been terrified of vet visits so we had determined to use home euthanasia to make the process easier on all of us and we are so glad we did. It was worth the additional cost. After we had scheduled her to come that day, she gave us notice when she'd be arriving so we were prepared. She was so patient and caring, explaining the process and giving us all the time we needed to be ready, explaining everything as it was happening, and then leaving to give us time to say goodbye afterward. She then came back in to see if we had any further questions, and left us with a packet of information including links to grief counseling and how our other pets might react. I am so glad we made this choice - it made a very tough time much easier.

Caring Pathways helped me deal with a very difficult situation when I had to part with my beloved companion. Dr. Jill is kind, compassionate, understanding and professional. The entire team at Caring Pathways was top tier to work with. Dr Jen was so compassionate, and made sure not only were my husband and I comfortable during the difficult process, but she prioritized our dog being comfortable and relaxed as possible the entire time. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Our sweet dog was so loved, and Caring Pathways did amazing with helping us ensure she wasn’t in any pain.

Dr. Kaity was the perfect doctor to send to our home, helping us say farewell to our sweet kitty. She made a very difficult decision and process a beautiful, pain- and fear-free time. She was quiet-voiced, patient, loving, and so knowledgeable. She listened to our concerns (from a previous experience with another company) and addressed them perfectly. Caring pathways was so supportive and wonderful through my dogs passing, the vet that came to my house had the kindest voice and gave me all the time I needed while walking me through every step of the process. I would recommend their services to anyone going through this terrible heartache.

No words can adequately describe our experience with Caring Pathways. Even though Death is not the end and just a transition, it can be hard to say goodbye—even for a period of time. Caring Pathways helped to soften the blow during this difficult time. The vet that came out to our home was soft-spoken, gentle, and incredibly empathetic with my entire family. He was able to put us all at ease immediately through his demeanor. He was confident but humble, extremely knowledgeable, and walked us through the entire process. We were all given the opportunity to say goodbye, and the process itself was extremely gentle, smooth, and painless. I am so thankful for everything they have done for us! Charlie slept through the night & seems less in distress today. Dr Gina was wonderful & gave me options to make him more comfortable, which I’m very thankful for. Again thank you so much for offering hospice services!

The veterinarian from Caring Pathways was wonderful. We called at 11:00pm and she arrived at 12:30am. She gave us plenty of time with our dog Hachi. He slowly fell asleep while our daughter fed him cat food (his favorite!). His passing was very peaceful and our cats were able to come smell him and say goodbye.

On one of the hardest days our family has ever known, Dr. Gina from Caring Pathways appeared at our home as a true angel. Her kindness, compassion, wisdom and presence made something that would have been unbearable into something peaceful and even transformational. Caring Pathways was INCREDIBLE - they helped me coordinate an at-home euthanasia for a family member in a different state. They were patient, kind, super responsive (at all hours) and flexible. They made a challenging and complicated situation so much more reasonable!

Making the decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog after 10 wonderful years was incredibly difficult, but Caring Pathways made it as peaceful and comforting as possible. The veterinarian who came to our home was so kind, gentle, and compassionate. She reassured us that we were making the right choice for our pup, who was in heart failure, and guided us through each step with such care and respect.

I don't have anything negative to say about my experience. From the time I decided it was time to unfortunately schedule the appointment for my pet was 9pm on a Sunday night. Online application was easy to fill out but hard as the pet owner. The scheduler was very professional on the phone making my appointment within 15 minutes of me filling out the application. Kaity was our veterinarian for our home procedure. Was on time, sanitary, very professional as well. But mainly comforting and no pressure at all at any point of our loss. She made not only my pet I was loosing but her brother comfortable through out the whole time. She made sure my family and myself were comfortable with everything before she would do anything. Explained everything clearly before she would do anything. Made the passing of my girl easier. She had an assistant named Lucus who made my girl comfortable for transport to her resting place. I am very appreciative of the experience they gave us and would definitely recommend considering doing it at home vs the actual vet if you can. Thank you Everyone involved in this process at Caring Pathways and Amare for making this a lot easier on me and my family.
