We’ve had our Belgian Malinois boarded and trained with Mason with Canine By Design and we have loved the experience! We started our dog with the puppy jump start program when she was 4 months old back in January of 2025 to teach her the basics and potty train. And that experience was great! Mason was very communicative and great with our dog and she just loves him and working with him! And recently she complete her 4 week Core Obedience training to further teach her basic commands as well as build her confidence and impulse control! We love working with Mason and Canine By Design and can’t wait to further our dog’s training in the future and if we need to board her there’s no one else we trust more than Canine By Design!

We were so pleased with Canine By Design!! They were very professional and provided everything they said they would for us and our Yorkie puppy. We chose to do the live in two week puppy program with trainer, Jason. He was fantastic and was so informative and helpful with our questions. At our meetings he never made us feel rushed and we learned a lot from him. This training not only showed great results with our puppy but cleared up much confusion for us about potty training and crate training, eating schedules and other things that as owners we should know. We feel like we can continue the great training at home that Jason planned out for us. Our puppy also came home knowing a few one word commands. He was only 4 months old!! It’s been very rewarding and we would highly recommend their training. We look forward to another program for our puppy in the future.

Mason was absolutely fantastic to work with and my dog has made incredible improvements! Jovi was very reactive. While working with Mason, she’s learned to ignore other animals and not bark/ lunge/ go after them. It does take work. Not only during the dedicated day of training, but everyday. YOU have to be willing to put in the time for your dog too. Never did I imagine Jovi would be able to be this close to other dogs or be in public spaces like this. Thank you Mason for the amazing training. Could not be happier!

Canine by Design was beyond our expectations. My 94 year old folks were overwhelmed with their new (rehomed) dog. After 4 weeks with Sarah they can breath a sigh of relief. She is like a new dog. I purchased a six week program of 1-1 lessons to help my doodle. We adopted him last year and he had several reactivities to work through. First, he barked at the door and rushed people when they came over. Second, in his previous home and in our home, he had bitten several people when being touched on his collar. He also had a tendency to pull me over when I tried to bike with him. And he pulled on the leash. AND he occasionally reacted to other dogs. I was assigned to work with Mason and he was amazing. He helped me teach Jack (my doodle) how to “place” so that he knew what to do when people came over and settled down quickly — no more rushing people at the door. Mason also helped me to teach Jack how to “stay” for long distances, even with distractions (like other dogs or animals) — which is helpful for Jack and I in a variety of situations. Thanks to Mason’s help, I can also now bike with Jack right beside me WITHOUT even a leash on him!! He walks right next to be now as well and Mason helped me to understand how to regain control when Jack gets distracted or needs correction. Mason even helped me to learn how to desensitize Jack to being touched on his collar. We haven’t had an incident since we started training. Jack and I still have a little ways to go but I’m very impressed with the progress we made during our six weeks! I will definitely be recommending Canine by Design to my friends!

We were in a very uncomfortable situation where we were on the verge of having to rehome Freya. We took a major chance and signed up for the board and train program. To say we were skeptical would be a major understatement. Rachel did such an incredible job not just getting Freya reset and stable but has been extremely patient and helpful in getting our family educated and trained on what to do to make the best out of the situation, each home visit got better and better. Our one on one training with Mason was absolutely fantastic. Our Akita keeper was have increasing reactivity towards dogs and new people. By the end of our 6 sessions keeper is doing so much better and we are much more confident with handling keeper. Our final session at scheels people were walking past keeper from both sides and he remained in down in a calm state. Mason was fully comfortable working with our big boy which gave us more confidence as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone especially someone who is experiencing reactivity with their own fur babies! Thank you Canine by Design and thank you Mason!!

We just finished our 4-week board and train session with Mason at Canine By Design. I am beyond happy with the results! Who says you can't teach older dogs (and older owners!) new training techniques? Mason and the program at Canine By Design sure can! My Malinois mix Zephyr has always been a difficult case, especially for an older person such as myself. But with Mason's guiding hand, he is so much better both outside AND inside the house. Our walks are smoother and I can take him on and off command easily. He immediately falls into position on command now. Inside, he will go to "place" and stay there until I release him. Additionally, Zephyr's reactivity has been decreased because he now knows that I am in charge and is not as stressed out. Also, meeting the owner Jason before training began gave me a chance to ask pointed questions about the program and the trainers ... To recap, We had a great experience and now Zephyr and I have a partner that we can move forward with. Thanks to Mason, Jason, and the rest of the Canine By Design team!

Ok Dyana is the best. My chocolate lab just came back from one month of service dog training and she is so so good! Day and night. She was pulling, recall horrible, eating other dogs poop, and now? She’s not doing any of these!! She sent me videos throughout the time and I felt safe that my dog was in good hands. It’d a lot but Worth the money in my opinion. I was worried about leaving her in a board and train and I’m so glad I didn’t accept that and kept looking for this type of service! Thank you canine by design.

Our puppy was really struggling in the crate with major anxiety and all though he was tough to correct, she figured it out. He came home a much easier puppy! Mason was amazing with our 6 year old French Bulldog, Cash with his agression issues towards us. Many trainers turned us away due to Cash’s behavioral challenges and medical issues, including his recovery from spinal surgery. Mason accepted the challenge with confidence and worked with us to tailor the training to Cash’s specific needs. From the start, he showed patience, expertise, and a true understanding of how to handle both behavioral and physical limitations. Through Mason’s guidance, Cash made incredible progress, and we feel so much more confident managing his behavior. Mason not only trained Cash but also empowered us with the tools to continue his training effectively at home. Canine by Design was such a lifesaver for my dog! Bentley struggled SEVERELY with being friendly with anyone and everyone, besides his family. He was very aggressive, unmanageable and uncontrollable with unfamiliar guests, kids, and other dogs in the distance. Bentley never minded his business, we could never have a peaceful walk, a calm day in the backyard, or go in public. It was Bentley’s world and we just lived in it. But thankfully Mason and his amazing work and patience have helped Bentley live a more calm and manageable lifestyle. We can now walk peacefully, have new guests over and remain calm, commands work the first time told. Overall, Bentley’s energy/demeanor is extremely calm and our guests are extremely impressed with the change they’ve also seen in Bentley. The boundaries established by Mason have been an incredible life saver and a game changer. I have a completely different dog! Our family is forever thankful for Mason’s hard work and for all the team at Canine by Design.

My husband and I have had an exceptionally positive experience with Jasmine from Canine by Design. She came to our home and immediately formed a bond with our puppy, ensuring she understood our goals for our puppy's manners and behavior. Jasmine provided extremely detailed weekly updates along with the sweetest photos and videos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our puppy was in excellent hands. Upon returning, Jasmine "trained” us so we could maintain the progress, and we've seen significant improvement since then.
