Had a wonderful experience working with Chef Nicholas to create the perfect cake for my daughter’s mermaid themed birthday party. He was extremely responsive and accommodating. The end result was a beautiful and delicious creation that both the adults and children enjoyed. Look forward to working with him again in the future.
The cake itself was gorgeous and very well made. The flavor however, wasn’t so great. Wasn’t really sweet at all. I would use him for more aesthetically pleasing cakes but if you want flavor I’d go elsewhere. Very durable cake, however. Great attention to detail. Unfortunately, not one family member enjoyed the taste and most of it was discarded. Makes for a pretty cake, though.

Nick made my wedding cake and I couldn't recommend ordering from him more. He was extremely professional and kind and was great to work with from start to finish. We did a cake tasting before and were so blown away with his coquito flavor (and so happy to include some of our latin culture in our cake). With just a little bit of reference on what we were looking for he completely blew the design out of the park and we were so happy the day of our wedding. Not only did it look perfect but absolutely tasted amazing and was a great addition to our special day. Thank you Nick!!
Beautiful wedding cake. Nick was so nice to work with, from getting our tasting samples to working out logistics on the day of our wedding -- the whole process was very easy. The cake itself was beautifully made and very delicious. It fit the vision we had for our wedding perfectly. I would recommend him to anyone needing a cake for their event!
Our wedding cake was one of the most beautiful things that I had a pleasure of seeing and eating, and the booking process was extremely detailed and swift. If youre looking for a special occasion custom cake creator LOOK NO FURTHER. I had the honor of creating a cake for my baby’s 100 day and he absolutely outdid himself. The cake blew every single guest away. I swear it was PERFECT. And i do not say this lightly. I spent over 600$ for my baby shower cake last time with another baker which quality/flavor/design was nowhere EVEN close to Nicholas’s creation. Made me feel like I got scammed from my baby shower cake 😭. The flavor was exactly what we were looking for as well and you absolutely replicated my visions exactly. It was so so so so good. The delivery was also on point. Super accomodating. Love love love. Will be returning customer over the next years with all special occasions!
Man Chef Nicholas is a MASTER of what he does. Visually - He created an absolute show stopper that felt like he pulled it straight out of our imagination
Taste - This was such a good cake it’s going to haunt my dreams. It may have ruined other cakes for me because this cake was DELICIOUS
Service - Simple no fuss, communicated every step of the way he was incredibly helpful and collaborative and put in a level of effort that reshaped my understanding of cake making as a whole.
Price - not only reasonable but I would’ve payed extra just for a video of the creation of this cake. But I completely understand a magician never reveals his tricks!

My husband and I decided to go through Cakes By Nick for our baby shower cake. We had a safari themed party and wanted a chocolate cake with raspberry filling with a more simple design. Nick exceeded all of our expectations from the design of the cake to the flavor. He was very easy to communicate with and listened to all my ideas and brought them to life better then I could have expected. I would 100% recommend Nick to anyone looking for costume cake in the area.
Nicholas made the birthday cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party, and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful! From the start, communication and planning were so easy — he was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process.
I asked for a cake inspired by a Fisher-Price toy teacup/cupcake set, and he completely exceeded my expectations. The cake looked so real that everyone thought it was an actual toy! I was blown away by his creativity and attention to detail.
Not only was it stunning, but it tasted amazing too — truly the best of both worlds. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Nicholas for future celebrations. I can’t recommend him highly enough!
We ordered our wedding cake with Nick, and it was a spectacular experience from beginning to end. Nicholas is professional, communicative, warm, and most importantly extremely talented. We loved all three of our cake samples, and our final wedding cake looked and tasted exactly as we dreamed. I have a severe nut allergy and finding caterers/bakers that could assure me of their food safety practices was difficult and frustrating. Nick put me entirely at ease and I'm so thrilled with how it came out. I would highly recommend his services to my loved ones!

Chef Nick was a delight to work with. We asked him to tweak his recipe, which he did willingly and with great success. Every guest commented on how delicious the wedding cake was - rich and moist, and magnificently decorated. I showed an inspiration photo, he said he can replicate the flowers, then gave something that looked nothing like it. When I brought this up, he gaslit me and said it was his discretion. Also, the cake was disgustingly sweet. Very unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

When I reached out to CAKESBYNICKG for a last minute birthday cake idea, Chef Nicholas Gomez came through. With an event date arriving less than two weeks away I was given a quote that not only seemed reasonable for the request and didn't seem to take advantage of the shortened timeframe with an upcharge. Even with the last minute request Chef Nick was cordial and patient with my reply to move forward with the cake. Upon accepting the quote payment was easy and communication was quick, efficient and left no questions unanswered. Upon the day of pickup Chef Nick reached out again to correlate and conveniently brought out the cake, making pickup a breeze. The Cake came out perfect. The recipient was amazed, mission accomplished. I will definitely be recommending and looking forward to doing business with Chef Nick again. Thank you.
After doing some research and narrowing down my choices to 3 bakers for my wedding cake we chose Chef Nick based on our blind taste test against 1 other baker. Although he was a little more expensive I have zero regrets in the decision we made.
Our cake was a huge hit, beautiful in design and absolutely delicious. We went with a strawberry champagne cake w cream cheese buttercream frosting which Chef Nick adjusted for us to minimize the cream cheese taste, he found the perfect balance. The cake itself was so moist yet delicate in flavor.
Chef Nick was great to work with and helped with the design after going back and forth on several ideas.
We fortunately had an entire top tier left over and are still enjoying it 2 weeks after the wedding.
I highly recommend going with him - for your cake - you will NOT be disappointed.
Chef Nicholas is an amazing truly one of a kind baker with great talent! The entire vision of our wedding cake wouldn’t have been possible, if it wouldn’t have been for him. He truly went above and beyond with our cake. His cakes aren’t only visually exquisite, but the taste is over the top. Super moist and just the perfect amount of sweetness to it, that truly leaves you wanting more.
Chef Nick is super patient, understanding, attentive, and presents multiple ideas for a final cake masterpiece. His communication is on point, which was a huge plus for us.
