Far exceeded my expectations of a 6 day bus tour of Iceland. The bus / sprinter van was sized perfectly to have traveling companions without overwhelming the spots we traveled to, had charging ports to keep cameras and phones operating while taking jobs of pictures and video, and had large windows to allow us to take in the gorgeous countryside.
Our tour guide Kolbeinn (Kollin) was amazing with all the guests, told stories of Iceland from the Book of Settlement and other local history, and was always glad to answer questions from the group. He definitely made the scenic drive enjoyable, including a stop to swap a flat tire - which he took in stride and involved the guys in the group as just another fun activity. His restaurant recommendations in the towns were top notch as well.
Sights we stopped at were well picked, including available/extra "excursions" for whale watching, bath houses, and an ice cave, many scenic planned stops, and a few bonus "micro stops" for photo ops along the way as well.
We took the 6 day trip around Iceland. Our guide, Kolbeinn (Kollin), was extremely knowledgeable in Viking history, weather, Icelandic customs, and geological formations. Especially great was his knowledge of other countries to be able to compare and contrast against those represented on the bus, which was perfectly sized at 15 guests. We learned a lot, experienced a variety of sights, and had a wonderful time!
Our guide is a cheerful person. There is always smile on his face. He always provided a lot of information whenever he spotted whatever along the trip making the journey more interesting and informative. He took care of everyone when doing the hike. He explained clearly our route before we started the hike. He took care of everyone particularly to those who were lagging behind. He was responsible and ensured everyone was safe and had fun. In short, I did enjoy the day very much.
Patti and I recently took the Golden Circle Tour in Iceland, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The scenery was absolutely spectacular, with incredible waterfalls, geothermal areas, and beautiful landscapes that seemed to change around every corner.
Our guide, Vjeran, did an excellent job throughout the tour. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared interesting information about Iceland’s history, geology, and culture. He kept the day moving smoothly while making sure everyone had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sights and take photos.
The tour was well organized, comfortable, and gave us a great overview of some of Iceland’s most famous attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend both the Golden Circle Tour and Vjeran as a guide.
Thanks for helping make our visit to Iceland so memorable!
Great experience as a solo female traveler; very comfortable. Lots of stops, time to explore, take pictures, eat, etc. Beautiful scenery. Vjeran, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating. We saw everything advertised plus some extras. He handled admissiom fees for all locations; I didn't even think about it. Smooth tour bus driving; I napped easily after lunch. Crowds were manageable everywhere and the tour size was 16 people (mostly duos or trios). Easy recomendation - yes, do it!
Fantastic Godafoss and Forest Lagoon tour! Godafoss was stunning, and Forest Lagoon was the perfect place to relax.
Krysten was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and her story about how she met her husband was a lovely personal touch. Turvi, our local Icelandic driver, was hilarious and kept everyone smiling throughout the trip.
A memorable day with beautiful scenery, great stories, and lots of laughs. Highly recommended!
Great tour great guide great company
The guide was great she explained everything and we had plenty of time to see the puffins which were less than 20 feet from us. The waterfall was great and so was the short hike. This Tour group is fantastic and a much better value and you see more than the one from the cruise ship.
We went on the Puffin Tour out of Seydisfjordur yesterday and had the best time! Our guide Kirsten was amazing as was our bus driver, Robert (Thank you for getting us safely over those mountain roads in total fog!). The scenery was breathtaking the entire tour and I couldn't stop taking pictures, lol. Kirsten was articulate and easy to understand (yay!) as well as personable. The puffins were everywhere at Hafnarhólmi, simply a dream come true, those precious little birds are simply adorable! We also had the wonderful experience of stopping at Bakkagerði, a tiny town just outside of Hafnarhólmi, and were welcomed at their community center by one of the local families. They served us coffee & Icelandic donuts while their 11 year old daughter sang for us! It was adorable and much appreciated. This trip was an absolute highlight of our visit to Iceland.
