I stay here at least twice a year and have for a long time. Great place, clean rooms, cool owners, ice on site, covered parking and the best part is ASPHALT parking. No mud or gravel in the boat!! Dax will even give you the occasional tip if you are getting Forked!! Most folks that stay there are really awesome, I even gained a new friend and fishing partner last year when his boat broke down. We got him back to the hotel about midnight, with a few tools from Dax, and had a blast fishing together the next 2 days! I drive from Central Arkansas, if Dax doesn't have an opening, I don't even bother. Burning Stump is the only place I will stay.
Great experience at the Burning Stump Lodge. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and made the stay easy. Overall, a really good stay and I would definitely come back.

Great place. Been staying there over 20 years. Never had any issues. Close to everything you need. Won’t stay anywhere but the Stump!

Awesome place to go and the owner is a great guy. Also one of the best on the water on Fork! Every time I fish East Texas this is where I stay. My family has come here for years.

I've been staying at the Burning Sump since 1993. Clean rooms, security for your boat and the best set up of anywhere I have stayed for after your done for the day. A covered awning with lights, easy charging. Close to the lake ramps. Your boat in front of your room. You can get ice if needed , even store your catch in a freezer. Dax is also a top guide on the lake& is helpful on current fishing conditions & patterns.

Great service and location with clean comfortable rooms. The carport area is well lit which makes rigging easy. As stated in other reviews, watch the clearance for your power poles

Coming from the Houston area to do some fishing, I have to say the burn’in stump has been my choice of relaxation after a great day. Rooms are always clean And the true fact, I’ve never had a problem with the management or anything else associated with the property I would recommend for anyone Is looking for a place to stay while fishing on Lake Fork check in with the burn’in stump !

I’ve stayed here numerous times over the years. Always clean, good communication and great location/close to the lake access and food. I come down to visit family locally and not always to fish, but this place is a great location for fisherman/tournaments.

Great place for a group of motorcycle riders to stay. Bikes are parked outside your room. Clean and good a/c.

Absolutely awesome place!!! Perfectly set up
With covered parking for boat. Plug in for boats at every room. Trash cans and towels to clean boat. The rooms are very spacious and clean always. Best air conditioners in Texas 😜 Dax the owner is super helpful always goes above and beyond. I highly recommend staying here. I’ve stayed several times always a great experience close proximity to the best restaurants and center of the lake.
