I was really looking forward to trying Burger & Lobster in Bryant Park, especially given the high ratings and strong online reviews. I ordered the combo because I wanted to try both the Connecticut Lobster Roll and one of their burgers. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The burger bun was stale, which immediately took away from what should have been one of their signature items. The lobster in the roll had a fishy taste, which made me question its freshness. Given the reputation and pricing, the overall food quality fell far below expectations. I ended up eating only about half of my meal because it simply wasn’t enjoyable.
To make matters worse, we were a party of six and the service was poor. The waitress failed to enter one person’s entrée entirely. His food didn’t arrive until after the rest of the table had already finished eating, which made for an awkward and frustrating dining experience.
With so many positive reviews, I was genuinely surprised by how disappointing this visit was. This was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a while, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.
