I had tomato soup and was a bit disappointed that it was obviously from a tin, but it’s a lovely place and the service was quick.

My friend and I went for afternoon tea for my birthday as it had been recommended. We've had better afternoon tea's, if I'm honest. There was a lovely selection of sandwiches. A choice of fruit or cheese scone (we don't like fruit and you can't put jam and cream on a cheese scone!) It looked like a nice cake selection but again, carrot cake (with sultanas), flapjack (with sultanas). There was one slice of coffee and walnut and one slice of a marmalade cake (I think it was) between the two of us. A piece each would be good! We would have liked, maybe a bit of quiche or a sausage roll. The coleslaw was delicious 😋 though. Maybe we're just awkward but we'll try somewhere else next time. Price was ok. Staff very friendly.
Some signage to point you in the right direction to the tearoom would be VERY helpful too.
Garden centre is very good, plants healthy, staff very helpful. Plenty of stock and variety. Pitty the cafe is not the same standard
