This service is worth every penny!! You may feel anxious to have a stranger in your home taking care of your newborn, but the team is very communicative and vetted. They are all very responsive to any questions and open to anything that may be causing you anxiety. I never felt like I was left hanging or any request I wanted was out of line. Special shoutout to Sheena who is an angel on earth and saved my sanity during those first few months of care!
We had the most wonderful experience with Ann from Boston Baby Nurse. She was with us for several months and is truly amazing, exceptional, A+++. She is an expert at sleep training; she got our newborn on a regular sleep schedule (now sleeping 11 hours! was not sleeping through the night before Ann) and helped her learn to self soothe.
Ann is always on time, reliable, courteous, and a pleasure to interact with. She has a wonderful laugh and disposition; she provides feedback and advice in a constructive but not pushy way. She truly cares. Any family who has the opportunity to work with Ann is blessed. We will miss her terribly, as will Baby D!
This was the best investment we made after having our second child. We were a little late to the game in scheduling, but Kelsey was able to find us a newborn care expert, Molly who was such a godsend, that we extended our care, and were given another expert, Meriyem who was equally amazing. I cannot recommend this service, save money on baby clothes and spend it on this instead!
Highly recommend! We found BBN&N through a friend who also had a great experience. Aliana was amazing with our daughter and allowed us to get some much needed rest a couple of nights a week so we could be better rested to parent our toddler while dealing with the newborn phase
We had a wonderful experience with Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny, especially with Sonia, who supported us during the first few months of our daughter’s life! Having trusted overnight support made such a huge difference during the newborn stage. Sonia was incredibly reliable, warm, and attentive, and she left detailed notes each night about feeds, diaper changes, sleep, and how the night went overall. We always felt our daughter was in excellent hands and are so grateful for her support during such an important time for our family. We feel like we made it through the newborn trenches in large part because of BBNN!
I am a nanny and was nervous to work with an agency for the first time. I am used to negotiating my own contracts and finding my own jobs through word of mouth and wasn't sure what to expect. We had a very positive experience working with Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny to care for our newborn. In addition to the excellent care they provided, they were incredibly accommodating with our schedule. We had some unexpected schedule changes early on, and the team was very flexible and understanding throughout the process. We would highly recommend them to other parents!
I had a very positive experience with overnight care for the first three months after my daughter was born (FTM and SMBC). The team was 100% reliable (never late and the only cancellation was when we had 20 inches of snow - they still gave 48h notice). Everyone had great newborn experience and was English as first language. The team was easy to reach by phone or email and provided flexibility to add extra support at short notice. The whole thing was extremely professional (from contracts to scheduling to payment) and logistics were flawless. I will definitely use again if I have a second child.
I was exclusively breast feeding and so still woke up to feed but the support was still so valuable. I never had to leave bed and as soon as I was done feeding they did all the settling / changing so I got more sleep. When the team came my daughter slept in her own room in the crib so she got used to this from day one. They were also good at getting her back to sleep without feeding if she wasn't hungry so I had fewer wake ups. For me the support meant fewer wake ups and short wake ups. For my daughter it meant comfort with her crib and own room from the start. The team would also do bottles, but the support is amazing even if you still plan to nurse. As a SMBC I loved our late night chats and their investment in my daughter's development. I think the reason I was able to truly enjoy the newborn phase was because (thanks to the overnight support) I was never really exhausted.
I would have two pieces of advice if using. First, book more care than you think you will need. They offer a cancellation policy (if you give two weeks notice) and although they were great about adding extra shifts care givers get booked up and so you might have to have someone different. Secondly, if something isn't working then give them a call. We had one person come who wasn't a fit and I called to give feedback and we came up with a great solution. No one is a mind reader and the team is super open to feedback / wants to make things work.
Specifically on the team:
- Kelsey (management): Amazing, super professional and easy to get hold of. She is empathic having worked as a nanny and is a mother herself. I loved speaking to Kelsey and she was always there to help / advise and never pushy. She is great to problem solve with and a really great resource. If you can coordinate your care through Kelsey then that's amazing.
- Breanna (overnight): She was our main person and was incredible. My daughter sleeps better with Breanna than with anyone. My daughter slept through for the first time at ten weeks and after that I was waking her to nurse because I was uncomfortable (which Breanna was very understanding of). Breanna is incredibly reliable and provided care through Thanksgiving, Christmas and a massive storm. She brings the experience of raising three of her own children but it also very easy going and willing to support your preferences.
Katie (overnight): She brings incredible experience as a trained nurse who has worked on post part. On my first night home I couldn't believe I was giving my baby to a stranger but I felt immediately comfortable with Katie. Beyond that Katie is so sweet and took so much initiative finding little jobs to do e.g., packing diaper bag, folding clothes, tidying toys, refilling baby brezza, making me an amazon list of useful things or tidying the living room.
I have photos of both Katie and Breanna in my daughter's baby book and just hope they will tolerate update photos as she grows up.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Wendy and Boston Baby Nurse as a whole. Forever grateful for the time, care, safety, and help they provided us with - thankful for our experience with this amazing company!
