Very disappointed with the whole experience with Bon Accord. Had organised for Bon Accord to start on a pre arranged date 8 month in advance. Bon Accord required payment before start date which was noted was different from the one organised they wouldn’t be starting till Tues rather than the Monday. No problem, then was told wouldn’t be starting till Wednesday. Wednesday comes, gets a phone call that they won’t be starting till Thursday! I had organised time off work to get works done. Then Thursday I get a phone call saying there wouldn’t be anyone on site till Friday! Was told product will be delivered direct from manufacturer before work starts. As products were not on site I presume they knew that they wouldn’t be starting job till Friday. Friday comes works on site at 8.45am with a different reason for them starting later than promised which I got from office. Then they stopped at 1.30pm for the weekend. This seemed to be the working hours 8.30/8.45 till 1.30/2.00pm. After job was finished, reported faults and it was organised someone would come out so got time off work for no one to turn up when arranged again. Turned out someone came 1hr 15m before the time stated. The following day fitters came and there was a gap between soffit and facia where facia is not on plumb. The gap was just filled with silicone. Never looked at the dry verge with the cope at top left with a 50mm gap above roof level and open to the elements and 1 dry verge not flush with facia. Also the water outlet from boiler that went into old down pipe was broken out of back of boiler and just pushed back into wall and not connected to new down pipes. Not a great experience using this company. So I wouldn’t recommend Bon Accord to do the roof line on your house.
Great service from start to finish. We were very impressed with the customer service, excellent communication and attention to details. Being able to see actual doors in the show room was a real bonus, as it helped us to make a decision. Mike -the sales advisor, was a pleasure to deal with. He was very informative and helpful. Installation was very professional, no mess and no issues at all. And - what's the most important - we love our new doors! Great quality and beautiful look.
Total disaster having a front door installed. Salesman took all the dimensions, surveyor visited to confirm measurements. Door was supposed to be supplied end of June, then it was delayed, then it was supposed to have arrived from the manufacturer in Belfast- a dat was given for installation which was cancelled because door wasn't "complete", new date was given which was also cancelled. Finally turned up and installed door while i was away. Came back to a door that was installed off centre and leaning to the outside and a with a few visible scratches- no trim and huge gaps which had been partially filled by foam. Not happy, called them and they send out the team leader who tried to talk me into everything being OK but agreed it was off centre and leaning. New date was set for a team to visit and carry out remedial work which would take three days and include centering the door. One man a plasterer tuned up and said he could not do anything as the gaps around the door were too big, i asked why he had even turned up to plaster when the door had yet to be realigned?. Head office said they would get to it right away but they were still waiting for trim from Belfast. Finally end of September it was realigned, plastered and trimmed, was not home but the wife said she was happy. A few days later our super burglar proof lock failed completely and we could not get in or out. No spare parts in stock. It is fixed now but have to leave home with a remote for the garage in case the lock fails again. Very unhappy experience. One thing that was appreciated, when the managing director got involved we did see more action and were kept up to date on the delays.
We are delighted that we chose Bon Accord Glass to supply and fit our new window's and doors. From the moment we entered the showroom Mike the "Sales advisor", was a pleasure to deal with, and was very helpful and supportive. He helped us to choose the window's and doors and handle's etcetera which ticked every box on our wish list. The fitter's Roy and Kris were superb and the quality of their workmanship was of the highest order. I gave them a score of 9.5, only because a perfect ten doesn't exist. Cost's were very good value for money and i would highly recommend them to anyone in the market place, for replacement door's, window's or both.
We got our side door and windows from them was happy until my wife phoned today 15/09/2025 to fix the door the guarantee was out but I was prepared to pay also a problem with a Window again was prepared to pay, response we do not do repairs and attitude on the phone was bad with arrogance, she came and told me I was thinking of going to see them but she stopped me, you do not treat a previous customer like that. he gave her a guy name who used to work for them , so obviously they have plenty of work if they can pass on a job. ( Will never use them again)

We were pleased with the workers who insalled our double glazed windows and a new security door also the salesman Colin Kinghorn who organised the windows and door for our property. We were slightly dissapointed in having 2 dates for instalation cancelled but as it was during June and July workers were off for holidays.
