Twice they failed to show up for an appointment to estimate (in Park Slope). Their “office” (of Hispanic ladies) was always certain to call to confirm (once, 4 times in one day) but “Alex the Painter” simply does not regard those commitments as anything he needs to honor. He seems to think he can show up 3 hours early or 3 hours late and the potential customer just sits around all day waiting for him. It would have been acceptable had he been 15, 30, even 45 minutes late on either occasion but he could not even do that, wasting everybody’s time and effort.
If punctuality, reliability or dependability is a requirement for your project, avoid Boerum Hill Handyman like the plague. The only reason I don’t give them 1-star is they did not take my money and run.
Brooklyn Handyman did an incredible job in my home and I could not be happier with the results.
