Got my toilet and faucet repaired by Boerum Hill. I can safely say this is by far the best experience I ever had with a handyman in New York City.
Arrived on the time we agreed on. Price stood the same for the service(no surprise attacks) & the service for repairing my leaky faucet was well executed. Will always recommend!
Thanks for the repairs and for being so professional. We got the best painter in Boerum Hill Handyman —> Avi.
He was flawless with brushing and general painting. All of our outlets were well covered and did amazingly well. Will always recommend!
Twice they failed to show up for an appointment to estimate (in Park Slope). Their “office” (of Hispanic ladies) was always certain to call to confirm (once, 4 times in one day) but “Alex the Painter” simply does not regard those commitments as anything he needs to honor. He seems to think he can show up 3 hours early or 3 hours late and the potential customer just sits around all day waiting for him. It would have been acceptable had he been 15, 30, even 45 minutes late on either occasion but he could not even do that, wasting everybody’s time and effort.
If punctuality, reliability or dependability is a requirement for your project, avoid Boerum Hill Handyman like the plague. The only reason I don’t give them 1-star is they did not take my money and run.
Great services painted my room while I was working. Came back to the house with quality paint job and prestigious line work. Now overlap or nothing. Perfect!
Work fone was amazing, installed new tile in my lkitch flor. All the work done was very professional and within good time!
Brooklyn Handyman did an incredible job in my home and I could not be happier with the results. I had been dealing with a small but persistent leak in my bathroom that no one seemed able to solve, and at the same time I needed a new toilet installed. From the moment I reached out they were professional, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating with scheduling. The handyman showed up right on time, explained clearly what he was going to do, and got to work right away. Watching him work gave me a lot of confidence because it was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. The toilet was installed perfectly, securely, and without any mess left behind. He even took the time to test everything multiple times to make sure it was working exactly as it should.
What impressed me even more was the way he handled the leak. Not only did he fix the problem efficiently, he also explained the cause so I would understand what went wrong and how to avoid it happening again in the future. It has been weeks now without any issues and I finally feel relieved after struggling with it for so long. The whole experience felt effortless on my end which is rare when it comes to home repairs. The price was very reasonable considering the quality and care that went into the work, and the peace of mind I now have is worth every penny. Brooklyn Handyman will definitely be the first call I make the next time I need any repairs or installations, and I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and trustworthy service.
I can't say enough great things about Boerum Hill Handyman and the incredible job they did painting over my kitchen cabinets. From the very first conversation, they were responsive, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about the quality of their work. The team showed up on time every day, treated my home with respect, and took the time to walk me through every step of the process so I knew exactly what to expect. What really impressed me was how meticulous they were in prepping the cabinets before painting. They removed all the doors, sanded everything down perfectly, and even addressed a few minor repairs I hadn’t noticed before. The end result completely exceeded my expectations. The finish is smooth, clean, and looks like it came straight from the factory. It honestly feels like I had brand new custom cabinets installed. They paid attention to the smallest details, from the edges and corners to how the paint blends with the rest of the kitchen. The transformation was dramatic, and it totally refreshed the space without the need for a full remodel. I’ve already had several friends and neighbors ask who did the work, and I’ve been enthusiastically recommending Boerum Hill Handyman to everyone. Their craftsmanship, professionalism, and pride in their work really set them apart. If you're considering painting your cabinets or need any kind of handyman work done, this is the team to call. You won't be disappointed.
Painted my little sisters single bedroom, about to be born soon we needed it painted swiftly. Handy-man was very professional and got the job done within the day and got a great deal for a second job done in the living room!
The words spoken by other reviewers on this business really do speak for themselves. They’re incredible in all aspects of the word. Professional with the leak repair, the scheduling, the performance & the record keeping of the service!
Very good service for painting and drying the paint too. They took their time and did really well. Precisely what I was looking for from a local painter. Will always keep in my phone book
Painted really good. Living room plus bedroom. Price was affordable - friendly staff. When the need arises I definitely will be giving a call back
I rarely write reviews but uhm… I had such a positive experience with Boerum Hill Handyman that I felt compelled to share. From start to finish, the service was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations. I had a persistent leak in my basement that had been giving me trouble for quite some time. I had tried to get it fixed before by other contractors, but no one seemed to be able to diagnose the problem properly or provide a lasting solution. That all changed when I contacted Boerum Hill Handyman.
Right from the first phone call, the communication was prompt, professional, and reassuring. They scheduled a visit quickly and showed up exactly when they said they would, which is not always the case with home repair services. The handyman who came to assess the situation was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patient and thorough. He took the time to inspect the area carefully, explain what he believed was causing the issue, and walk me through the steps he planned to take to fix it.
What impressed me most was the level of care and attention to detail. He didn’t just do a quick patch job to temporarily stop the leak. Instead, he fully addressed the root of the problem and made sure everything was sealed properly and reinforced. He even noticed a few other small issues around the area and took care of them without me even having to ask. That kind of proactive service is rare these days and truly appreciated.
The quality of the work was outstanding. It has been weeks since the repair and we have had a couple of heavy rainstorms since then, and the basement has stayed completely dry. I feel so much more at ease knowing that the problem was handled the right way. On top of all that, the pricing was very fair, especially considering the level of expertise and professionalism involved.
If you are looking for someone reliable, skilled, and trustworthy to handle repairs in your home, I cannot recommend Boerum Hill Handyman highly enough. They are a true gem in the neighborhood and I will absolutely be calling them again for any future projects or issues
Price is good for plumbing service. Leak repair service was faster than 911 in my neighborhood. Technician broke it down easily and did an awesome job. Recommending for a good plumbing company!
I 100% thank them for being excellent and getting my room painted exactly how I wanted it. No issues, no drama - just pure excellence with their skills. Their communication is top tier & their work is something to be witnessed first hand to get a feel of what I’m writing here.
