Today I had a flat tire. I called a few places, but they all said they were too busy and couldn’t help—even when I told them I was willing to pay extra because I really needed my car.
Then I called “Bobby Grich Auto Repair” in Rancho Santa Margarita and explained that I was in a hurry and needed my car. They told me to bring it in right away and said they’d take care of it immediately.
I went there, and they fixed my tire in about 5 minutes. Both the owner and the staff were very nice and helpful. On top of that, even though I insisted on paying, they didn’t charge me and said it was a small service and free of charge.
I truly appreciate their kindness and highly recommend this auto repair and tire shop.

I highly recommend this service. I stopped by without an appointment after noticing my skid plate was loose while driving nearby. They took care of it in about 20 minutes—quick, efficient, and very professional.

I had a great experience at Bobby Grich Auto. I took my car to get inspected for any service that might be needed to keep it running smoothly. Tyler was the service manager who helped me. He was very friendly, communicative and knowledgeable. They did a thorough complimentary inspection that took about 1 hour. I received a detailed electronic report documenting their findings with pictures which helped me understand what needed fixing. Afterwards, Tyler went over with me the recommended repairs and prioritized which ones should be done first and which ones could wait. He patiently answered all my questions and there was never any high pressure sales tactics. I am still deciding what repairs to do, but I would not hesitate to get them done at this shop. The people were great and the shop was clean and organized.

First time to Bobby Grich Auto Repair and I must give this business 5 stars. The business was friendly, clean, and welcoming. The employees were well dressed and polite. But best of all, the customer service was outstanding and trustworthy. They took pictures to show me what was wrong and took the time to explain what my car needed. They took care of me without an appointment and got my car repaired and on the road in a timely manner. I can't say enough about Bobby Grich Auto Repair. Great job guys.

I recently brought my car to this shop after it developed a head gasket issue. I understand that this is an expensive repair and I was prepared for a significant cost. However, I was quoted around $8,000, and the primary recommendation was to tear down and rebuild the engine for about $7,000. At no point was I given more cost-effective alternatives, such as sourcing and installing a used engine, which is ultimately the route I took on my own. I was able to purchase a used engine and the necessary tools and complete the repair for roughly $3,000 total.
Additionally, I was advised to replace all four tires because of a TPMS sensor fault that was causing the warning light to stay on. The tires were less than a year old and clearly did not need replacement. Recommending four new tires for a sensor issue felt excessive and unnecessary.
Another issue I had was with vehicle storage. After the diagnosis, I asked if I could leave the car there for one extra day because I was at work and unsure of how I was going to proceed, and I was told that was fine. However, once I informed them that I would not be moving forward with the repairs, I was told I needed to pick up the car by the end of the day or I would be charged around $80 in storage fees. While I understand storage policies, it was frustrating to be told it was fine to leave the car and then have that changed once it was clear I was not going to proceed with their repair.
To be clear, I do not believe the shop was intentionally dishonest, and I’m sure their technicians are capable of doing quality work. Communication during the process was acceptable. However, it did feel like the service writers were focused on recommending the most expensive and comprehensive repairs rather than the most practical or cost-effective solutions.
Lastly, the follow-up asking for a review was excessive. I received multiple calls and reminders asking me to leave a review, which ultimately is the main reason I am writing this. Following up once is understandable, but the repeated calls came across as pushy and unprofessional.

Our recommendations are always based on long-term reliability and protecting our customers from repeat failures and additional labor costs.
On the tire recommendation, Subarus are all-wheel drive vehicles, which require all four tires to be within a very close tolerance. The inner edges of your front tires were worn, and replacing all four is the correct and necessary approach to prevent drivetrain damage.
For storage, we do allow a grace period, but due to limited space and the condition of the vehicle (which limited our ability to move it), we do begin charging storage after 72 hours. This is a standard policy across most shops, and we do our best to communicate that clearly.
As for communication, I personally reviewed the call and text history, and we followed up over a few days after providing the estimate. Our process also includes follow-ups to ensure customers are taken care of, not to pressure—though I understand how that may have felt, and we’ll take that feedback seriously.

I recently took my Tesla Model X to Bobby Grich for a wheel alignment. The experience was excellent.
The staff was incredibly friendly — they greeted me warmly, explained everything clearly, and kept me updated without any pressure. The shop itself was unbelievably clean, with spotless bays and a pristine waiting area.
Best of all, the prices were surprisingly good and fair — the alignment bill was lower than I expected.

Had a great experience with Bobby Grich Auto Repair. Brought in my 2021 Tacoma with a lift and some pretty serious tire wear and alignment issues, and they handled everything the right way.
They did the full alignment, inspected all the front-end components, and made sure everything was dialed in correctly for a lifted setup. They also walked me through what they found, including worn tires, brakes, and other items, without any pressure or upselling.
What stood out most was their transparency and attention to detail. They showed before/after alignment specs and clearly explained what needed to be done and why. The truck drives noticeably better now.
If you’ve got a modified or lifted truck, these guys actually know what they’re doing. Solid work, honest communication, and professional service all around.
Would definitely recommend.
