Just wanted to give a shout out to Will Richardson- he was always available when I called, he handled a meltdown I had with Grace and professionalism- he comforted every concern I had and explained things to make sure I understood the process and even called back later to check on things- he definitely cares about his customers!
I also want to thank Bryan who does the pool school- he answered me right back when I had issues and was very thorough with his explanation of things! He came after 7pm one evening bc we had been so busy working - he came at my convenience- when do you see that sort of customer service anymore- he is a gem! We love our pool and now love our spa!

Having a new pool in the yard has changed how we use our free time. The whole building new pool process was loud at times but totally worth it. Blue Haven cleaned up every single day without fail.
We looked at three different contractors before picking these folks at Blue Haven. Their pricing was reasonable but definitely not cheap, which I actually respected. You don't want the lowest bid on something like this. We loooooove our new pool

Our overall experience with the company was extremely frustrating, with poor communication and multiple failed attempts to get help from our original project manager and other staff. That said, once John stepped in, everything changed.
He was responsive, took the time to listen, and actually followed through. Our concerns were finally addressed, and the project began moving forward after a long period of delays.

We live in Mountain Road and having Blue Haven Pools manager come out for in person for a quote meant a lot for business that wanted to build us a new pool.
We used Blue Haven for our pool and had a great experience. Gustavo was awesome and super responsive, easy to work with, and kept everything moving. Everything turned out great and we’re really happy with our pool. Would definitely recommend them.
After reviewing several bids, we chose Blue Haven. The process from design through completion felt smooth, and their team was responsive—quick to answer questions and keep us informed. We’re really happy with how everything turned out and look forward to enjoying the pool for years to come.
If I could give 0 stars I would. In my opinion, this is one of the worst companies I've ever worked with. The timeline was not kept, the plaster was rough, and the sand from the pavers didn't harden and continues to was out into the pool. They forced me to go through the process of seeking legal action before they would address it. The regional manager finally called and made it sound like they would fix the problems, but they're still not fixed a year later and he stopped responding to me at some point and never followed through. Horrible experience. I would never recommend them.
Case in point, look at their response. They sold it as "we'll leave the ground in final grade condition ready for sod. Now they're pushing the blame off on me because they didn't do their job. They fail to mention that I had to get someone to come out twice because the grade was so bad the first time. Take this as warning. Things will not go as they promise and everything will get twisted as being "your fault" when they're the professionals. They won't actually come fix anything. There warranty is only as good as, we'll come out and tell you all the reasons we're not responsible. If you use them, don't say I didn't warn you!!
Mr Mitchum, our team visited your property and found that several of the issues were done by your landscaper which is causing water to sit on the deck which is creating these problems, including blocking the deck drain.
We did not create this problem, but we are happy to fix this at no charge once the landscape is taken care of so no future problem occur.

Beautiful pool, but a total lack of accountability and quality control.
I am writing this updated review to provide a more accurate reflection of my experience. Full disclosure: my original 5-star rating was posted at the request of an employee and was done in good faith. Unfortunately, after nearly six months, Blue Haven has failed to live up to the expectations they set or follow through on their commitments.
The pool itself looks beautiful, but the process was a series of headaches, communication failures, and unresolved damage. While the final product is there, I am not sold on the quality given the sheer number of issues we've faced.
A Few Issues We Ran Into:
Billing & Grading Errors: We were charged for dirt removal that wasn't necessary, only to be told later we needed soil brought back in for proper grading. An employee even admitted they usually wait until the end to haul dirt away "just in case"—yet I was billed for their lack of coordination. To date, no one has offered even a partial refund or compensation for this mistake.
Unresolved House Damage: Our home was damaged during installation. It took three months just to get a "patch" job, and the full repair still hasn't been completed. Now, it seems, I will have to spend money out of my own pocket to repair their mistake.
Drainage & Engineering Failures: The initial decking was sloped toward the house, flooding our original patio. When we pointed this out, the construction manager blamed the design the sales team sold us, even stating their own salespeople don't understand the engineering well enough to educate customers.
Subcontractor Negligence: We were promised our termite bait stations would be saved; instead, they were completely destroyed during excavation. I offered to dig them up myself if it would be an issue.
Zero Communication: We were almost never told when contractors were coming or when they needed access. More recently, I’ve tried to move forward with the final inspection just to be done with this company, but my messages have gone unanswered. I am now having to reach out to the city myself just to get this closed out.
Quality Control: We’ve had settling issues and uneven pavers from day one. Even after a "rework" attempt, the finish doesn't match the premium price we paid. The initial drainage pipe was left unfinished and just hanging out in my yard.
Final Thoughts:
It has been over six months since they broke ground, and my house still isn't fixed, and the decking still isn't what they advertised. For a purchase this permanent, I expected a company that stands by its work. Between the lack of communication, the refusal to take ownership of mistakes, and the total lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend Blue Haven to anyone. If I am ever in the position to buy another pool, it will not be with them.
NOTE: I was in contact with the regional manager after my initial 5 Star review. To his credit, he did help resolve the drainage issue with a larger drain, but the damage to my home remains unresolved, the decking still has settlement issues, and the inspection is still not completed.

Great company from start to finish.Tad Hurst, my project supervisor, was very professional, polite, and an absolutely amazing person to work with.
