We had Blue Haven build us a pool in 2021. Not only did we end up with ASR or concrete cancer, as we demolished our pool (the only option) we see that the pool was not even structurally built to industry standards. We have reached out to BH over 5 months ago, they didn't even come look at the pool when we told them it was leaking. They are rude and lack compassion that we had to rip out our $100K pool and rebuild (out of my own pocket).

I’m updating my review. It’s been about 4 years and today the entire pool is being gutted and redone. I feel like a picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll try and keep this brief. Install was a nightmare. Our designer was either disorganized or a liar- he measured wrong and they informed us after our yard was ripped up we’d need to give them thousands of dollars if we wanted them to proceed. Lots of “why didn’t you account for this?” Was met with him saying “I forget why.” Our foreman would disappear for weeks or months. The workers on site didn’t speak English (and also would disappear for months). Our foreman literally told us we were not important, our project wasn’t important, and he had 20 pools he was working on. I also had to literally pull up building code and help the with the math for a 40 foot staircase which still isn’t to code. They lied about materials, didn’t have a good grasp on what they were installing and would double down on misinformation to the point where I would have to call the manufacturer, get a spec sheet, and send it to BHP. Just lies, deflection, delays, and gaslighting. We ended up with a bunch of really poorly installed really expensive stuff that is now being ripped out and redone. We have rust on all our walls (both retaining walls and pool walls) and I have no idea why the cost to fix that will be. It also turns out that per Quartzscapes they didn’t mix our pool color correctly so it’s drab and uneven. If anyone is reading this, please look at the pictures and hear me. Our foreman would disappear for weeks or months. The workers on site didn’t speak English (and also would disappear for months). Our foreman literally told us we were not important, our project wasn’t important, and he had 20 pools he was working on. I also had to literally pull up building code and help the with the math for a 40 foot staircase which still isn’t to code.

They lied about materials, didn’t have a good grasp on what they were installing and would double down on misinformation to the point where I would have to call the manufacturer, get a spec sheet, and send it to BHP.

Just lies, deflection, delays, and gaslighting. We ended up with a bunch of really poorly installed really expensive stuff that is now being ripped out and redone. We have rust on all our walls (both retaining walls and pool walls) and I have no idea why the cost to fix that will be. It also turns out that per Quartzscapes they didn’t mix our pool color correctly so it’s drab and uneven.

I appreciated that Blue Haven Pools & Spas manager did a follow up after everything was done. That extra check in showed they care beyond just finishing the job. Any small questions were handled quickly. It did not feel like they disappeared once payment was made. That goes a long way.

We have recently completed the new pool construction project with these builders and are extremely satisfied with the experience. Pool construction is a massive project, but the entire process went surprisingly smoothly because of the team and the project manager. They assisted us with the design from the beginning and helped us finalize the entire look and feel of the pool. They kept us well-informed about the timelines, and although there were a couple of minor weather-related setbacks, they have adhered to the original timeline remarkably well. The team was professional, left the site clean, and the end result was just a breathtaking 18x36 foot pool with a gorgeous dark plaster finish is nothing short of having given our home a facelift!
