Blue haven pools, was a mixed experience. The pool came out great, Mike and Seth were great to deal with. Their communication and quick to answer our questions and fixing things that were broken. Their subcontractors were very disrespectful of my property and my neighbors property. There is concrete all over my fence and my screened in porch, they didn’t cover them. The excavation was bad, it was very muddy due to rain and they tore up our yard even breaking our main water line and then telling me they were not responsible and made me buy the parts to fix it. I was very frustrated about that and if I didn’t go and buy the parts my wife and I would have had no water. My suggestion is hold these subs responsible for the mistakes, you’ll find that they will be more careful when working. It took just over 9 weeks to complete, due to weather and finances it took a bit longer. Overall we are happy with the completion and again, Mike, Seth and Krista were great to deal with. Open up a landscaping area of the company, I would be happy to run. I had to completely redo my yard with 10 yards of dirt and grading. We are happy the pool is complete. Can’t wait to swim in it next season.

It’s been a great experience with Blue Haven Pools. Seth got us started with all our questions and concerns, then Mike took over to manage the construction. Would highly recommend Blue Haven.Pools and Spa. We had a great experience from beginning to end. Krista was super helpful as we went through the permitting and selection process. She made recommendations and kept us up to date with all permitting information.

We were nervous about putting in a pool and all that it might involve, but Blue Haven Pools certainly took the stress out of the whole process. Our initial contact was Chris Miller, who walked us through the design phase and paid special attention to our specific needs and requests. It was a "no-pressure" sales experience and we ended up getting exactly what we requested. Seth Stamper was our construction manager and we were very pleased with his knowledge, guidance,and professionalism. Open communication with Seth was always easy. He patiently and quickly answered all of our questions throughout the entire build, and even afterwards. He kept us informed of what to expect during each phase of insallation. Jesse Stamper has been maintaining our pool and also is great at explaining things as we learn basic pool care. Wendy helped us in the design showroom when it was time to choose tile, coping, and Wet Edge. It was nice to go in and see the options in person, not on a computer screen. Overall, the whole experience start to finish was amazing and really stress-free, even with little hiccups that were bound to happen! We absolutely LOVE the pool and are so happy, and are in it almost every day! We compared pool companies and prices before deciding. Blue Haven was by far the most professional and most economical choice for us! We definitely recommend them!

We recently had our pool installed by Blue Haven Pools, and overall, we’re very pleased with the final result. Our project manager, Seth, was highly responsive and kept the project on an aggressive timeline, which we appreciated. He did a fantastic job coordinating the different phases of the build and keeping us informed throughout the process.
That said, there were several important lessons we learned and a few issues that are worth sharing for the sake of transparency. From the beginning, we communicated a concern about water drainage near our screened-in porch and emphasized the need for a sufficiently sized deco drain in that area. Unfortunately, the drain installed was not the appropriate size, and as a result, we now have significant water pooling within the screened enclosure. The puddling is severe enough that it reaches our back door during heavy rain, which has created a frustrating and preventable issue. We also requested three sheer waterfalls with a glowing LED light effect, based on inspiration images provided by Blue Haven.
In addition, we experienced challenges with the lighting features. The sheer waterfalls were supposed to be illuminated by LED lights to create a glowing effect. However, the lights were not functioning properly. Despite our repeated requests, Hayward refused to come in the evening to assess the lighting issue under actual conditions. After six months, the lights were finally replaced, but they still did not perform as expected. Ultimately, a refund was issued, but it was disappointing that the lighting never matched the intended design.
While the excavation was mostly done properly, the final load of clay soil was not removed as expected. Instead, it was piled along the side of the house, covering utility cleanouts and water access points. Despite the fact that we hired a landscaper to assist with regrading, Blue Haven ended up hiring him twice themselves to remove the excess dirt that should have been handled by their excavation team from the start.
The tile installation initially left excessive grout residue on the tile surface. After we raised the issue, Seth promptly sent a crew to clean it up. The gunite application was adequate, but unfortunately, the surface left behind many sharp chunks. One of our guests even sustained a minor cut from the rough areas. Blue Haven did provide us with a stone to sand the surface ourselves, but this felt like a less-than-ideal solution and reflected a lack of quality control.
In fairness, some of these problems seemed to stem from the crew being rushed after delays caused by overlapping projects. Still, we feel the craftsmanship could have been more refined in some areas.
In the end, we’re very happy with how the pool turned out and would consider hiring Blue Haven again—but with the caveat that we would be more proactive and hands-on throughout the process to ensure every detail is addressed to our standards.
