As you can see, Blue Field Law delivered our 501(c)(3) IRS certification just like they said they would. Thank you very much! The entire process took about 4 months, finally receiving a letter from the IRS stating their approval. My only suggestion for an even smoother customer experience would be to provide a well-written and comprehensive overview of the entire process. Not having that left me somewhat apprehensive about signing the contract with Blue Field Law (to start the process). Without this, even during the process (which involves several steps) I felt a bit confused. However, I'm sure that if I were to go through all my e-mails with Blue Field Law I would find an outline but again, my suggestion would be to first give a potential customer, not a legal document, but more of a good explanation (in an informal but comprehensive manner) of exactly what is going to happen and in what order, step by step. A person might think that attaining a 501(c)(3) only involves the IRS but no, first there is the state that is involved (for me, Texas) and I didn't understand that as well as I should have. Again, a big thank you to Blue Field Law. BTW, I asked an attorney about using Blue Field Law and their fees, and this lawyer told me that their rate was VERY reasonable. More than anything this is why I choose Blue Field Law.
