$1700 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE? I had really good experiences there until I wanted my ABS looked at. The Anti-lock breaking system light was on …after the tire light was on …after a tire replacement by another company. They wound up being unable to fix the tire light or they didn’t look very hard when I replaced another tire with them. They said they wanted $1700 for the diagnostic… because they needed to take apart the entire system to find what’s wrong My car is nearly 20 years old. I understand expensive repairs at this point – – so long as they don’t come up to 20% of a year’s worth of car payments. I had an axle replaced by them. But Claude and ChatGPT are telling me this diagnostic should be $100-$200 max (All they’re really doing is collecting online data quickly.)And the most expensive repair is about projected to be 800 bucks. But I’m reading that a sensor that needs cleaning could be all that that’s wrong. They are so nice here. They seem so professional. But this was so way out of line. I don’t know what to say. And believe me I clarified several times with several people that they just wanted $1700 for the diagnostic – – and that was not gonna be taken off the repair. I just feel like I need to warn people that I had to move on. Cleaning the sensors and checking the wiring to the dashboard should’ve been checked before they got anywhere near me with a diagnostic charge in the first place — Much less a $1700 diagnostic charge I am a single female. We never charged you nor gave you an estimate for $1,700 diagnotics.

When you came in for a brake inspection in June 2025, our inspection found that the lower control arm bushings were torn, one axle boot was leaking grease, and your vehicle had ABS codes along with tire pressure sensor codes. I personally reviewed these findings with you and explained the recommended repairs.

To clarify, the diagnostic fee for the ABS and tire warning lights was $175, not $1,700. At your request, we also prepared estimates for the control arms, alignment, brake fluid service, and axle replacement, which totaled approximately $1,730.

At Blu Automotive, we make recommendations based on verified inspection results supported by photos and video documentation that we share with our customers. While ChatGPT and Claude can sometimes be helpful, accurate diagnostics require hands-on evaluation of the vehicle.

I was referred by a friend from the gym I attend. He told me he had been a customer for quite a long time and was always happy with their work. I have since, become a customer of Blu automotive and have also parteken of their work and work ethic. I make an appointment, take the cars in and wait, within a short time, I get my cars back and the charges are nominal, not dealer prizes. Their work ethic is excellent, better than dealerships. Once you're a customer, you get friendly reminders as well, just in case you might forget that the vehicles need service.

My alternator died on me this afternoon and after giving them a call they made the time to take a look at my car on short notice. Within 2 hours of bringing it in the alternator was replaced and I was back on the road again before they closed shop for the day. That's a world record of service in my book. I requested to get the starter replaced and then the radiator was leaking and the gasket valve was not there so asked them to do it too. They did an excellent job and at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Blu automotive as very reliable.
