We did archery and had a wonderful time. Our instructor was funny, relaxed and helpful with technique tips and advice. He ran a fun session with amusing games and gentle banter. The 2.75 hours flew by and we're comfortably tired and will certainly come back in the future when we're in the area.

Had a great time doing the half day canoe trip on the canal! It was a beautiful, calm paddle. Mick was really lovely and helpful. It was also super kind of him to pick us up and drop us off in Brecon because we didn’t have a way of getting to and from the adventure centre. Would definitely recommend!

We had a guy name Ali who was guiding us through the gorge walking tour. Not being able to swim, Ali was so helpful and understanding to my non swimming needs, he was very entertaining and very good around the kids. Would recommend to anyone.

A most unforgettable experience! We had Jake for the day look after us and our group of friends. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, we felt so looked after and safe with him! Lots of historical and nature facts and knowledge, as well as incredibly fun challenges! A truly unforgettable experience and a memory that I will cherish. Thumbs up for 5mm wetsuits The three of us including 12yo son really enjoyed this. The 5mm wetsuits made a big difference compared to the thinner ones I had when doing the trip with another provider and none of us felt cold after the initial plunge.

I had a great time canoeing/kayaking with the family. The canal route was pretty calm and quiet and is appropriate for beginners. The staff at Black Mountain Adventure were all so friendly and nice from check-in, induction and pick-up.

Family holiday. We were a couple but with a larger family group. We used the mountain bike hire, went gorge walking and caving. All 3 activities were great. The mountain bike trip was a really lovely few hours out and the scenery was beautiful. We were grateful for the lift halfway up the hill. I enjoyed the gorge walking with instructor Ali. We had a group of 11 of us and Ali kept us all together and engaged throughout. It was easy to keep up and geared to all abilities. I was not looking forward to the caving as I felt nervous. We chose the half day and had instructors Mick and Emily. Mick was clearly very knowledgeable and his instructions were really clear and easy to follow which I appreciated. Emily really helped on the bits I thought I couldn’t do and I felt reassured. Overall 3 great activities and we would book again. Thank you!

Great gorge walking experience We went gorge walking with Ali at Sychryd waterfalls. It was stunningly beautiful and Ali was fun, friendly, safe and encouraging. He was so knowledgeable about the area and really helped us to get the most out of our experience. We had so much fun and would 100% recommend this experience to anyone!

Had a fun couple of hours of archery this afternoon, capably instructed by Nevil. Worth mentioning it’s easy to find, there’s a large carpark and they sell ice creams for refreshment after some healthy competition.

Great day out This was a gift from family and husband and 8 year old son took part in 1/2 day caving experience, the guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic as well as patient and helpful with our son while imparting plenty of facts about caves

Great SUP morning Great instruction and morning SUP in Brecon. Perfect location, nice and quiet on the river. We learned a lot but also had a lot of fun on the water. We were all stood on our boards and felt confident by the end of the morning. Would definitely do it again

Took my 2 daughters aged 11 and 9 gorge walking over the Summer holidays. One daughter is a dare devil and the other a bit more cautious. Our instructor Ali, was absolutely fantastic. Kept us all entertained with some good old Welsh banter but was brilliant with cautious daughter when she found some bits challenging. We had a great couple of hours and I highly recommend this company for outdoor pursuits. Thanks Ali.
