Really pleased with the Viking Ship weather vane. Having never purchased one before I was a little hesitant on what to pay for such an item, but I have absolutely no complaints. Its so well made and looks great. And its not just a gimmick item either. The weather vane does behave as expected in the wind and points in the direction of wind travel. It doesn't just spin round and round which an unbalanced piece might.

I found Black Forge Art online and after a quick chat over the phone to ask a few queries we decided to go for their Highland Cow and Labrador sign. The website is great and you can tailor your sign to be any size and mounting. We went for a post sleeve mounting as it will be sitting atop a post at the end of our drive. When it arrived I was so impressed with the quality and attention to detail. The frame is substantial and the whole sign is incredibly sturdy, - which was important for us to cope with the high winds we get over here! It is also very reassuring at it is also made entirely from rust free stainless steel. I must also say that animals really come to life and the black painted finish is clearly professionally applied. We are incredibly happy with our purchase and will be getting a bespoke weathervane for my wife for Christmas! Thanks to everyone involved in making this for me, - one very happy customer! nicholas

These guys are amazing. My bespoke iron hanging house sign arrived and it's perfect. Rod spent lots of time designing and redesigning it, and Josh and Carol are really helpful too. I had some issues (my fault not theirs) but we got it sorted - nothing seemed too much. Not cheap but you absolutely get what you pay for in this instance, these guys are fantastic!

It is difficult to overstate how happy I am with my custom grill which was manufactured by Black Forge. The design process was flawless, lots of consultation and suggestions to make sure the design was as good as it could be. The manufacturing was impeccable. The quality of the components is excellent and a year later the grill shows no sign of wear and tear. I would unreservedly recommend this company to anyone. Irnham Parish Council were looking to commission a new village sign to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. We approached Black Forge Art to help take our ideas from initial thoughts to final design. At every stage Rod was enthusiastic, listened and made suggestions and together we settled on two different design ideas. These were mocked up and the final choice was then refined until we had a very bespoke design. When the sign was finally unveiled there were audible gasps of delight. We couldn’t be more pleased with the sign which is of exceptional quality and certainly appears to be virtually maintenance free, which was also an important consideration. A big thank you to all at Black Forge Art for their work and support for our project.

I first contacted Josh about a bespoke BBQ back in 2022 but, owing to needing to rewire the house instead, had to put things on hold until over a year later. Josh took this in his stride, remembered who I was and what I wanted, and couldn't have been more helpful. His emails were informative, and he helped guide me through the specification to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Delivery was bang on schedule and, I think anyone would agree, it looks fantastic in its new home. If I ever move house and need another BBQ, I will look no further than Black Forge. Workmanship and customer service done as they should be!
