It's been 3 months since I had my Lasik surgery and I couldn't be happier. The procedure itself was quick and pain free, and I always felt in safe hands with Prof. Power. My prescription was -6 in both eyes. Vision took about 10 days to fully clear afterwards (very slight blurring), but perfect since. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Professor Power and his team at Blackrock Clinic enough. I was unsure if I would be a suitable candidate for LASIK due to my terrible eyesight (-7.25 or so). However, after what was a thorough consultation (I've never been asked so many times which image looked better!) I was told I was able to have the procedure. The day of the surgery, the entire staff were professional and calmed my nerves. Everything was explained along the way and I was reassured throughout the procedure, which lasted around 10 minutes or so. I was shocked at how quickly the time flew for the actual procedure. If you are interested in LASIK (even with a higher prescription), I highly recommend booking in for a consultation with Professor Power.

I had a fantastic experience with Professor Power at Blackrock Clinic. From my first enquiry, through to my post surgery follow up, including my requirement to reschedule the surgery itself, the entire process was professional and efficient. Both Professor Power and his staff were extremely knowledgeable and every step was clearly explained and followed up on. As someone who is enormously squeamish I wasn’t relishing the surgery but Professor Power put me at ease and I felt confident and well-informed going into the procedure which itself was wonderfully efficient. The results are incredible - I only wish I’d done this years ago!

Great care from all the team at Professor Power’s in Blackrock. Billy brought by me through the full procedure beforehand and the actual procedure on the day was very quick- about 15 mins in total! By that evening, there was a massive improvement in my vision. If you’re someone who is sick of glasses or lenses like I was, I’d 100% recommend speaking with Billy Power- I’m sorry I didn’t get it done sooner.

From my very first consultation to my consultation post-procedure I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Power and his team. The procedure was a great success for me. I would highly recommend this service to everyone considering an eye laser procedure. I was someone who has been putting off getting laser eye surgery for many years, and mostly down to fear. My first consultation with Dr.Power and his team really eased my nerves. I was especially surprised to hear that no painkillers were prescribed after as they wouldn’t be needed. True to his word no painkillers were needed, and I experienced no pain during the procedure or after. The entire team were super helpful throughout and always encouraged me to ask questions the whole way along. The procedure itself was super quick (around 15mins). The laser itself only lasts for around 5-20seconds (depending on your personal requirements). Again, I experienced no pain during the procedure. I can’t lie and not say it’s probably not the greatest 15mins but it’s definitely not something I wouldn’t do again especially with the results I have gotten after. It’s only slightly uncomfortable but there is zero pain. It really is worth it. The team talk to you through the whole time which I found quite reassuring too. Post procedure my eyes were only slightly sensitive. I went home and napped for about 2hrs straight away and woke up feeling good. The after care is very well explained and laid out for all the necessary drops to be taken. My eyes just kind of felt tired for the rest of the day. The next morning after the procedure I went to my follow up appointment with Dr. Power. I wasn’t feeling any sort of discomfort. Dr.Power checked my eyes and tested the vision. I now have 20/20 vision and couldn’t be happier. The entire experience with Mr. Power and his team was seamless and the results were amazing with no pain involved. I would recommend this procedure in the Blackrock clinic to anyone without hesitation.

I couldn't recommend Prof William Power and his team more! The level of professionalism in the team is very high. I was a bit wary during the initial consultation as I was unsure if I was suitable given my dry eyes and astigmatism but Prof Power informed me I was a perfect candidate. Him and his team dealt with me with such professionalism and dignity. I felt a bit anxious during the procedure but the nurse was very kind and offered me a stress ball to help and through out the procedure, Prof Power reassured me that everything was going well. After the procedure he checked himself to make sure everything was perfect and once again reassured me everything is great. The post operation care leaflet is very detailed and is greatly helping me in recovery smoothly and quickly, without worry. A big thanks to Prof William Power and his team!

Amazing experience from a real professional. I have astigmatism and longsightedness so I was always unsure / getting mixed messages whether I could get LASIK or not. Contacts lenses never really worked for me, so I started to explore the LASIK option further. Prof. Power met me and answered all my questions during our initial consultation. He reassured me and it was great to meet the person who was going to do the surgery before hand. This is an important decision, it’s your eyesight. So if you are like me, you want the best person possible to do the work. He is extremely competent and I was highly impressed with him overall. I got my surgery yesterday and had my follow up today. The surgery went super fast and pain free. I already have 20:20 vision and very little pain the day after. Thank you so much Prof. Power. I recommend him and his team highly to anyone who is eligible for LASIK.
