This was a fantastic tour and Felix was a phenomenal guide. His knowledge of the area both present and historic was vast and interesting, giving us a unique perspective on a city that's best known for its old town area and allowed my wife and I to understand it much better than we possibly could have by ourselves or on a standard tourist tour. He tailored the information specifically for our tour, the Bike pace was never demanding and his concern for our warmth given the windy cold weather was incredibly kind and generous. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Heidelberg since most tours on foot are limited to a much smaller area and we got a far more comprehensive introduction to the city. Highly recommended for English speakers as well (since many bike tours are only available in German from what we saw). Thanks again to Felix for a truly memorable and worthwhile part of our first visit to Heidelberg!

Great Way to Experience Heidelberg Our tour guide Felix hosted a small group of us through various parts of Heidelberg. He conveyed comprehensive knowledge and history of the area whilst maintaining an easy pace on the bike. The tour was very conversational and he invited questions and comments along the journey. It’s a great way to cover Heidelberg and see some points of interest to explore more thoroughly at a later time. Would recommend.

Brilliant cycle tour - learnt lots and saw lots. Found the start point very interesting with the US military history. This was one of the best cycle tours we have done - and we’ve done a fair few. We learnt lots about Heidelberg and its history through the World Wars and how the area is being redeveloped. The old town was fascinating and we had a lovely tea and coffee stop and plenty of time for photos. The guide, Nadia, was really good. English was very strong and she had a lovely manner and was genuinely proud of Heidelberg. A really good experience and a wonderful place.

A great introduction to Heidelberg If you want to explore more of Heidelberg, beyond just the Altstadt (Old Town), this is the place to be! Felix told us about Heidelberg's past and present, in English. He patiently answered our questions despite the pouring rain during the bike tour.The bikes are in excellent condition, and helmets are available but not required.We were cycling on paved roads, but there were some cobblestones, so some cycling experience is recommended.

This is such a terrific way to see a city; I've done city bike tours all over the world and this one ranks up with the best. Excellent bikes, friendly and very informative guide ( Thanks Nadja ) and a very thorough overview of the city and its history. Very wise choice to wind thru the smaller less crowded streets of the touristy old town rather than just the well worn tourist highlights that any guidebook would give you. I highly recommend a Bike Romance Heidelberg tour as a great way to start your visit to this impressive city.
