Theft during service This is by far the worse delivery experience I ever had. Long story short the 3 crew members that delivered my HHG with unboxing service stoled shoes that were already in my closet and on top of that shipment items (clothes, shoes, hats, purses). My mistake was allowing too much unsupervised time in the master bedroom while I was checking unboxing and furniture installation in different locations of the house. And I didn’t think much of it at that time but one crew wouldn’t break down every box upstairs but instead carried some down and some of the boxes were open in the truck prior to entering the house. I reported this and submitted a claim but was denied less than a day of what the claim adjuster called thorough investigation. So basically they are not taking responsibility and are protecting theft committed by their employees. My company Booz Allen Hamilton entrusted them to conduct this move but they will definitely be made aware of this incident.

So bad, it put my wife into early labor. (Seriously, 7 weeks early) It was an extremely disappointing experience. I will never use Allied again. Ignoring the incredible damage to our goods (for which the claims process is not giving me anything, including for damage to my neighbor's yard), there was also a total lack of logistics support. Delivery scheduling: On the day of pickup, we were told the goods would be dropped off on Tuesday. The next day, we were told Wednesday. Then the next day, Thursday. Then Saturday. We were left scrambling at each change to find people or create/cancel accommodations to make this work. There was no consistency. Car pickup and delivery: The subcontractor, Bluestar, couldn’t pick up our cars on an actual carrier. The coordinator never picked up the phone. Any communication with Bluestar had to be initiated by me. I was very clear that I needed a pickup and a certain date (and on the physical car carrier), and all they could do was a last minute change to a flat bed. I cancelled this the day before we moved. I had to do the logistics work of finding a different carrier who was able to deliver on their promises. Delivery of goods: Nobody looked at a map to determine if a truck could make the turn into our driveway. The morning of, the helpers said they’d need a UHaul to get the equipment in. They were already late. My neighbor let us use his yard to make the turns, but at the expense of his grass. It will cost time and money to fix that. During unpacking, it became clear that the packers had put the large, light boxes on the bottom of the stack, and the very heavy small and medium boxes at the top. Every single box was crushed. Even my large tool chest’s wheels (rated for thousands of pounds) had broken off. A wheel used to move a piece of gym equipment had broken. When leaving, the driver’s assistant bent over my mailbox post to let the truck exit. This occurred while I was actively getting a shovel to dig out the mailbox. Now I have to fix what could have been avoided with 5 more minutes of patience. Summary: In addition to the damage, I had to spend 40 hours of my own time doing the work that Allied logisticians and technicians should have done. This is why I hired Allied, so that I would not have to figure out all the logistics. Overall, I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience and am convinced I could have done a better job. When I brought this up with the local Allied office multiple times, I was FINALLY transferred to the manager. After 1 round of telephone tag, he did not return my final voicemail. They are negligent and there to take your money. You'll never get anything back for the time stolen and damage caused. Use a different moving company.

We've used Berger a couple of times in the past two years and they are excellent across the board. They are one of the few moving companies that will still send someone out to your place and do a real estimate and the price I paid was actually slightly less than what was estimated. They send out a professional team of movers who were careful and considerate and worked at a fast pace. My stuff was delivered as promised, on time, and with no damage. Be very careful out there when looking for movers and moving companies. There are a lot of scams going and some really trashy tactics being used. I can tell you that this place is the real deal and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the greater Las Vegas area.

We have used Berger Transfer three times for long distance moves and have been happy with every move. This last move was from Saint Paul, MN to North Las Vegas, NV and they did a fabulous job on both ends. The packers arrived right on time and were unbelievably efficient. When I asked them to take special care with a couple of things, they were so kind and told me exactly how they were going to pack those items. The next day the movers arrived right at 7AM and were out of the condo by 10:30! It was incredible. Their efficiency allowed us to get a head-start on the long drive to Nevada. Our furniture arrived within the promised window and everything arrived safe and sound. They came back when we were finished unpacking and picked up all of the boxes and paper. There was a fee, but it was worth it to get it all out of the garage. I hope we won't have to move again, but if we do, we know who to call!

Active duty over 25 years. On household good pick up day keep getting delayed over and over with no updates until I reach out. Now MAYBE arrival at 430pm. 430pm? Who starts moving household goods when it's almost time to go home for the day? This move was scheduled months ago. I even told the lady on the phone "I've been in the military a long time and I've experienced movers show up when the sun is going down". She reassured me everything will be done timely. If there was a conflict of schedule, then don't eat into my months-old appointment. Disrespectful. The military says I have to be at the house from 8a-5p on moving day. It doesn't mean show up at 5pm and obligate me there until almost bed time. Please, Uncle Sam, stop this moving company from moving active duty members. Also, almost every 3 star and under review is about a military move. And 5 stars for customers paying out of pocket. This should tell you something about their priorities.

We did have your arrival scheduled between 2–4 PM, and our crew arrived around 3:00. From what we can see, the move was completed smoothly and the team wrapped up by 4:30. But we also understand that when you're told to be available from 8–5, and the crew doesn't show up until the afternoon, it can feel like your whole day has been taken up—and that’s a frustrating spot to be in.
You also raised concerns about how military moves are handled compared to others, and we want you to know we hear you. Military families make tremendous sacrifices, and they deserve the highest level of care and respect throughout every part of the relocation process. We’re always looking for ways to better serve our military customers, and your feedback helps us identify where we need to improve.
