Five stars from 556 reviews speaks volumes about this business and its owner. I actually met Ben whilst I was doing door to door sales for my marketing business. I love honey so we got to chatting, he gave me a bunch of free stuff, alongside some of his world class honey too. Was absolutely delicious, finished the jar in a few days, glad to have a found a good local honey hook up for Melbournes eastern suburbs now that is ethical, antibiotic-free, and tastes delicious. I was fortunate enough to undertake a veterinary placement with Ben and it was such a great experience. His honey is really delicious and he offers a large range of honey products all made with care and of exceptional quality. Ben is incredibly knowledgeable having been in this industry for a long time and you can absolutely tell he loves what he does. Highly recommend Ben’s Bees!!
Ordered a 15kg bucket of fondant to help my bees along. Delivery arrived next day plus a jar of honey on the house.
The fondant is the cheapest you'll find on the market and for $20 heavy freight next day delivery, no complaints here. From one beekeeper to another, you've got some incredible honey.

Firstly, this is not a shop ! It is an honesty stall out front of a residence. I appreciate the owner is busy collecting bees 🐝 and helping people with wasp problems, but their website is somewhat misleading. I'm also sure the honey is good, but at least have someone there to serve

Thanks for your feedback — but to clarify, Ben’s Bees is a private residence with an honesty stall, not a retail shop. That’s made clear on our website and socials.
We’re a hands-on beekeeping business, not a staffed storefront. I’m often out rescuing swarms, managing bee hives or dealing with wasp infestations — which is exactly why we have an honesty system in place. It allows locals to grab honey even when I’m out working.
Maybe to save yourself the drive next time, especially early on a Sunday, it’s worth giving us a quick call ahead — happy to help when I can.
Also, a big shout-out to all the people who leave genuine and thoughtful reviews. I really appreciate every one of the 5-star ones — they help support a small local business that’s just trying to do good, honest work.

I’ve been recently converted to bens bees honey - easily my favourite honey I have ever tried. The natural honey is absolutely delicious even just on its own it’s addictive! I’m really looking forward to trying the creamed honey with some brie as ash recommended! Such a lovely team at Ben’s bees that are super passionate and knowledgeable about their bees and the variety of awesome products you can create. I highly recommend trying this honey if you are looking to reap the many benefits of having natural, local Victorian honey! I will definitely be back for more, thanks so much Ben’s Bees!
