Excellent food and a warm Romanian host made our experience even better. If you’re ever in Heraklion, Bellot is a must-visit. We tried the lamb chops and grilled octopus—both were outstanding. The Portocalo pita was also absolutely delicious.

This taverna was honestly the best taverna we ate at during our stay here in Crete! We even came back for the second time. The owners are Romanians and they were just the sweetest! They brought us portokalopita, some kind of rakia, and watermelon.
The food is just amazing, the portions are huge, we felt like we couldn’t walk afterwards! The prices are amazing for what they offer.
The food is all homemade by the owners’ golden hands, it just gives the vibe of an authentic greek taverna.
We loved the place, we really recommend it! We will definitely be back if we ever come to Crete again! Thank you!

It was my first time trying this taverna and my family and I enjoy the food, atmosphere and service.

This was one of the best meals we have ever shared as a family. The food was fresh, the views spectacular and the atmosphere curated by the staff was immaculate. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and hardworking. The staff was one of the most impressive and genuinely caring group of people I’ve come across. We look forward to sharing our experience and passing along the recommendation with friends and family traveling through the area.
Its a family boutique restaurant in the heart of the city, near Heraklion's flea market. Every plate we ordered, had something unique and amazing.

One of the best restaurants in Heraklion Old Town
I visited Bellot in Heraklion and really enjoyed the experience. The food was tasty and felt honest, with a homemade touch that made it stand out in a good way. Nothing was overdone, just simple, flavorful dishes that were clearly prepared with care. The prices were very fair for what you get, which made the visit even better.
