Bayview Kitchen is a great place to enjoy a nice lunch during the afternoons. They play great music and the owners and chefs are extremely friendly and professional. The drinks are always made to perfection, as well as their meals. I recommend their Jerk Chicken Tostada and the Skit Steak eggs and home fries.
LOVE! We came for a Sunday breakfast and got a great one. The coffee was not “diner” tasting and that set the stage for the rest of breakfast also being really special. Service was kind and quick! The food was delicious. I had French toast, my husband had an omelette and our son had the chicken and waffle. We all ate everything on our plates and left full and happy. Love the art and music playing as well.
I found a place on Google. I was excited and upon arrival a bit disappointed the people are nice, but that’s all I got the fact that they ask you tapwater or bottled water is crazy work the fact that they choose their own tip at 18% is even crazier when this place is empty and the only personthat helped was the damn cook and he wouldn’t have gotten a tip of that size because the food wasn’t good. I just appreciate the culture and I will continue to support. Maybe stop in for a drink..maybe

We had high hopes based on wonderful reviews, but were sadly disappointed. While the music was good, it was so loud that it was impossible to hear or communicate with the wait staff or my dining companion. The waitress was friendly and polite, but the food service was very, very slow. The volume of the music and press of the crowd, made the slow service more problematic. When the food arrived cold after the long delay, that was the last straw. Ultimately, we got to-go containers and left dissatisfied. Despite the promise, I would not return to try again.
Bayview Kitchen is an absolute must-visit. Everything about this establishment is exceptional—from the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff to the vibrant atmosphere created by the live DJ and their signature pepper sauce. Every Sunday, I find myself craving their perfectly fried whiting and creamy grits. If you have the opportunity, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself—you won’t be disappointed.
I don't particularly care for this restaurant. This is my 3rd time going because of my husband. After the 1st time I figured I'd give them another chance. The 3rd time we went, my husband convinced me since he loves the whiting and grits. To start, 1 person asked what type of water we wanted and he never came back. Then our waitress took our order. I had a question about the menu and she was gonna find out the answer and she never came back. It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks from someone else. The place holds MAYBE 40-50 people the most, and there was a good amount of workers. My family dinner has more people. We never saw our waitress again we had random people coming to us to help. We were charged for items that we never order so the bill was incorrect. I paid over $120 for brunch for 2 people. Never again!!!! They're a 18% gratuity already added. I don't care for that. Allot of times when I see that, people don't care for the customer as well because they already have their tip. We saw our waitress ONCE and she NEVER CAME BACK, and she didn't answer my question about the menu. So why should she be tipped almost $20 for doing barely nothing. From the picture on their website. I thought there would be a live DJ, but it was just a speaker that was way too loud.
No heat. Freezing!
Very disappointed in Bayview Kitchen. I love coming here, however, I just came in at 8:45 to have breakfast (drove 27 min & was so excited)….the door was locked- - They open at 8am; and it was freezing. I mentioned to them that it’s very cold and uncomfortable. They literally listened and didn’t respond. It was 42 degrees outside at the time.
Before making a decision, I waited about 12 minutes to see if they turned on the heat and nothing. Instead of accommodating the customer, the girl was too busy talking about how drunk she was the night before as she stood in front of me. Another woman came in and I let her know that I haven’t ordered yet because I can’t eat while uncomfortable. It’s warmer outside. She asked if I’d like to wait in the car while they put the heat on. I passed as they should have done that the first time I mention it. She was friendly and apologetic but I need to be warm not pacified. I left. 😔
I’m so glad my cousin didn’t meet me with her new born. A baby cannot sit in there.
Now I’m going to support another business when I would have preferred to support them. SMH
Bayview Kitchen is now one of my favorite breakfast spots! I love the hospitality because they make me feel like family. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. Now….the food is bomb! Grits are always on point, and the fish is fried to perfection! I can’t wait to go back this weekend! ☺️
Got there Wednesday morning 10am for breakfast. Walked inside and was told the kitchen wouldn’t be open for another 20 or so minutes. The hours posted on the door states they open at 8am. It was disappointing, I was looking forward to trying their food. But also I was annoyed because the hours of operation they posted were incorrect.
