We started bringing our mini goldendoodle here for grooming and have had a wonderful experience (2 grooms so far and no issues). We also just boarded him for the weekend for the first time and he came back super happy. All the photos shared were great - highly recommend!!

After an evaluation and two stays they gave up on my dog Odin and banned him. They advocate they will help with training but don't have the patience to do so. Extremely disappointed when I'm willing to pay what is needed for proper training. It's a shame they are willing to give up. Yes my dog isn't an angel but that's what we are paying $1500 for a personal trainer and this too improve the behavior....

We’re truly sorry that your experience with us was frustrating, and we understand how difficult it is to hear that a facility isn’t the right fit for your dog.
After Odin’s evaluation and subsequent stays, we had to make the decision to remove him from group play due to behaviors that we determined to be highly inappropriate and severe within that environment. As a group play facility, the safety of all dogs in our care is our top priority, and it would not have been safe or responsible for us to continue placing him in a shared yard setting.
This decision was not made lightly, and it is never our intention to “give up” on any dog. However, the type of behavior Odin displayed is severe which is why we recommended working with a veterinary behaviorist, who can offer the focused, individualized support and expertise needed to address these concerns safely and effectively.
We truly respect your commitment to investing in Odin’s training and improvement, and we wish you both the very best moving forward.

My dog is new to Bark U. Daycare has been terrific and everyone is so great with the dogs! She had her first overnight experience. I am so impressed with the efficiency and kindness I experienced starting from the front desk! They were so attentive to the instructions for my dog’s medications and food. When I picked her up the next day they happily gave me feedback. Bark U is terrific!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so happy to hear that your dog has been enjoying daycare and that her first overnight stay went smoothly.
Our team works hard to make every dog feel comfortable and cared for, and it means a lot to hear that you felt that same level of attention and kindness—especially when it comes to important details like medications and feeding instructions.
We truly appreciate your trust in us and look forward to seeing you and your pup again soon!

I’ve gone back and forth about posting this, but feel other dog owners should know.
My dog went to Bark U for 2 years—daycare, grooming, and boarding—without a single issue. Everyone knew him by name, he was loved, and I trusted them completely.
Out of nowhere, I was told he bit a caretaker and couldn’t return without completing a training program and being “cleared.” Because this was the only place I trusted, I went down a rabbit hole—spending a lot of time and money on trainers and behavioral specialists. Every single one told me there was NOTHING wrong with him.
After repeatedly asking to see the footage (and being told I could only view it in person due to “dog privacy”), they eventually sent it. It was very clear: my dog wasn’t even near the caretaker. They identified the wrong dog.
Three specialists reviewed it and were shocked—not only by the mistake, but by how unprofessional the situation was. The caretaker walked into a room of 30+ dogs with a trench coat over her arms and coffee mugs in hand—completely unprepared for the day. If I were a dog, I'd likely be jumping up on her too!
When I asked for reimbursement or even a credit for all the unnecessary expenses they led me to incur, leadership (including the GM and CEO) was dismissive and defended their team instead of taking accountability.
After 2 years of trust, this was incredibly disappointing. In my experience, this feels like a business that has scaled too quickly and can’t keep up with the level of care and oversight needed.
If you’re looking for a safe, well-managed place for your dog, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Playtime Pet Resort is down the street.

We strongly disagree with several statements in this review and feel it is important to clarify.
The safety of our staff and the dogs in our care is non-negotiable. The decision to pause services was based on a few incidents of observed inappropriate behavior in our yard, and the final straw was an incident involving a staff member. When behavior escalates to that level, we are required to act conservatively and follow established safety protocols before allowing a dog to return to group play.
At the time, you shared with me that you were experiencing behavioral concerns at home and needed professional advice there. While you may have received differing opinions, our responsibility is to make decisions based on what our trained team directly observes in our environment.
The claim that our team was unprepared or that the wrong dog was identified is not accurate. Our staff is trained to safely manage group play, and we stand behind their handling of the situation.
Throughout your time with us, we made consistent efforts to accommodate your needs. Ultimately, it became clear that we were not the right fit, and services were discontinued accordingly.
We wish you and your dog the best moving forward.

We started using Bark U for our new Goldendoodle puppy when he was about 12 weeks. They take such great care of him. Bark U is always so responsive whenever I have questions. They even reach out when they think Lucky needs his nails trimmed. The facility is beautiful and I always feel so at ease that days that Lucky goes to daycare!
I am incredibly frustrated and disheartened with our experience at BARK U. I chose this facility because they claim to provide an environment where “each dog will thrive” and is placed in groups based on “temperament and play style”. As the owner of an energetic terrier puppy, this specialized approach was exactly what I was looking for.
Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing. After investing over $1,800, including $665 for 3 initial BARK U training, $45 per day for the 6 half days of daycare, and $875 for a behavioral program they specifically recommended, our puppy was abruptly “dismissed”. The reasons cited were typical puppy/ terrier behaviors like posturing, mounting, and nipping that we were working to address.
What is most upsetting is the lack of consistency. We were led to believe that as long as we were investing the time and money into their recommended path, BARK U would support his progress. Instead, they took our money, sent us to expensive outside training, and then showed him the door before that training was even completed (he had only finished one of the five behavioral sessions). Upon dismissal, no alternatives like individual play were offered; we were simply told our puppy was “no longer eligible to attend daycare or lodging services”.
Overall, if you have a puppy that isn’t perfect from day one, be wary. Despite their claims of specialized care and onsite behavioral trainers, they seem unwilling to actually work with dogs that require any extra attention or follow-through, even when the owner follows every recommendation provided.
We had a great experience with personalized care for our Frenchie.

I doubt you'll find a better run all in one doggy care facility in King of Prussia. Very intelligent and friendly place to give your canine a truly complete experience. I got the impression that someone really thought through everything.

Thank you for the thoughtful review—we really appreciate it. We’ve put a lot of intention into every part of the experience, so it means a lot that it came through.

BarkU has been amazing with our little Charlie. Charlie is a 9 pound, slightly shy/nervous toy poodle. We decided to put him in daycare to help him gain exposure with other dogs. After looking at surrounding doggy daycares and boarding in the area, placing Charlie at BarkU was a no brainer. They provide handlers overnight whereas others in the area leave the dogs without anyone staying on the property. As a nervous dog mom, I check in every time Charlie is there through their texting service. They happily answer all of my questions and update me on Charlie. Even when he whines going in, he comes out excited and exhausted. The picture package definitely helps us too as we get to see our Charlie happy with his new friends. We are so happy with BarkU and don’t regret sending Charlie one bit.

Thank you so much, Alia, for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re so happy to hear that Charlie has been having such a positive experience with us.
We know how important it is—especially with a shy or nervous pup—to find a place where you feel confident in their care. Our team works hard to provide a safe, supportive environment, and we’re glad that our overnight staffing and communication helped give you peace of mind.
It’s wonderful to hear that Charlie is gaining confidence, making new friends, and coming home happy (and tired!). We also love sharing those photo updates—they’re such a fun way to stay connected.
We truly appreciate your trust in us and look forward to continuing to care for Charlie!

I am so happy we found BARKU for our puppy's daycare! It is always nerve-wracking leaving your dog, especially with a bunch of other dogs, but from our first tour I knew this would be the place for him. The dogs get to play all day, inside and outside, in a safe and supervised environment where they are played with dogs with similar play style and demeanor. Especially in the winter, it makes me so happy to know my puppy is getting exercise, socialization, and fun instead of being cooped up in the house! We are so grateful we found BARKU.
