I ordered medium bark for blower installation. What was delivered and blown in was fine bark instead. Fine bark creates a heavy dust cloud, settles in a smooth layer, and breaks down faster, so the difference was obvious once the crew started. The week before the job involved several calls adjusting the schedule, and the coordination felt rushed. When the truck arrived, the crew began blowing immediately, and within seconds it was clear the wrong material was in the truck. The installation itself looked tidy, but the grade mistake created extra cleanup around shrubs and will shorten how long the bark lasts. I called the next day to report the issue but didn’t receive a follow‑up or explanation. For anyone scheduling blower bark, especially during busy weeks, I recommend checking the material before the blower starts. Once it’s down, there’s no practical way to correct a grade error.

I had 23 yards blown in and Corey was very pleasant and good to work with on getting it scheduled. She returned all calls well within an hour. Kirk and Cody arrived on the time they had promised and did a great job of spreading the bark and clean up afterwards. All was done throughout the property in 90 minutes from arrival to departure. I highly recommend Bark King and this is the 2nd time I used them and both times excellent results!

This is probably the first negative review that I have ever posted. My first call to get on the schedule for 20yds of mulch was on May 14, 2026. I spoke with Corey, who was very nice. I was told that within 3 weeks I would get a call from scheduling. It never happened. I called on 6/15, 7/7, and 7/27. I never received a return call. I placed a call today, 8/13, and cancelled my so called order. Very frustrating, to say the least. I have never experienced lack of customer service like this. My advice to others, if you place an order, is to plan on the possibility of waiting for an extended amount of time. I would like to emphasize that Corey was a pleasure to speak with on my initial call. Brad T

Bark King is fantastic. They blew in the mulch mix first which added a nice dark color to our beds. The next visit was fine bark blown into the walks and areas we are hoping to suppress weed growth. The crew was professional and punctual. They called and let us know when to expect the truck to arrive. I would recommend them! Update! So worth the wait. The crew was awesome and did a fantastic job avoiding our delicate plants.

My wife and I were very impressed with Bark King service. I had called many companies and went with them for the very nice customer service explaining everything on the phone. We did not get a date for the service but were called a few weeks later and were scheduled. They showed up on schedule, and the crew was very nice and did an immaculate job! I mean the work was literally perfect! the bark was of excellent quality, nice and thick everywhere, and they got ever little corner of our yard and cleaned up perfectly. I highly recommend them, and down the road we will use them again.

Unreliable company and service Bark King took an order in Feb. 2025 for delivery of medium bark to my home in June 2025. They acknowledge receipt of my order, but did not deliver the bark, did not return several phone calls, did not allow any time to order bark from someone else, and proved to be totally unreliable and undependable. I was especially disappointed because I was counting on having it before a family reunion early in July.

I wish every company was this good. Beginning to end, top to bottom, exceptional, superb experience. From the folks who answer the phone, to the wonderful compassionate scheduler who is detailed beyond and ON IT, to the guys who were kind, friendly, helpful, professional, FABULOUS, and showed up on the dot and did such a spectacular job and left the yard spotless, every single person a joy and a true Professional. Every interaction superb. Phenomenal. Cannot say enough good things about these guys. Just stop your looking and call them. There is no one better. All this at a fair price. Five stars all the way.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Never using Bark King again. Avoid at all cost! I placed an order to have 10 yards of bark delivered just like I had done in July of 2021. The person who took my order over the phone was nice and even mentioned how my file had some notes about possibly needing 15 yards on the next order. I didn't need 15 yards this time so I placed it for 10 and was told I'd get a call in a few weeks when they knew the delivery date. I get a call a few weeks later and am told that the only way they will deliver bark to me is if I order 20 yards, because in their words, "It doesn't make sense to drive that far out of the way for only 10 yards." I explained I don't have a use for 20 yards of bark and wanted to keep my original order. Another person got on the phone and said they had made a one time exception when I ordered in 2021 to deliver 10 yards and said I should have remembered them telling me about this exception over 3 1/2 years ago. Maybe instead of relying on your customer to keep notes on a conversation they had with you back in 2021, you put notes in your system, just like the notes you had about me needing 15 yards instead of 10, and tell me this upfront and not weeks after placing my order and expecting a delivery. Or even better, complete the order that you took, keep your customer happy, avoid a negative review and then make some policy adjustments where you have a minimum order requirement for certain areas. Now that's a thought! Thanks for nothing.

They did a beautiful job on our yard. Cleaned up, guys were nice, mulch was great quality. The problem? Aftercare. Their large truck damaged shared property. It left large oil stains on a driveway used by three homes, that could be simply cleaned. This is private property not a public road. I tried on several occasions by phone and email to have them come clean up the mess they left. Was very cordial at the start. Initially they seemed very amicable. Then I was "replied" to rudely and then not replied to at all. They're super busy, I'll call you Monday, no call, I'll call you before phones are shut down Saturday, nothing. All the dates and times for replies set by Corey. Ridiculous. Simply send a guy in a small pick up truck, scrub it out, spend a 1/2 hour and create a customer for life. This maybe a pattern from other reviews. Their customer service is horrible.

I had 20 yards of fertille mulch blown in. It looks fabulous. They showed up right when they said they would, they were very nice and I enjoyed talking to them. My gardens look so much better and they will be healthier too with all the compost. I called other companies but they weren't able to help me until the fall which would be much too late. Plus they were a lot more expensive

I have used this company for years, now never again. If could give less then 1 star I would. I cannot believe how bad their customer service is. The office manager has no business working with any customers. She has the worst attitude I have ever ran across for a company that needs customers to keep them in business. The owner needs to know how bad she is and how it reflects on the company. Go somewhere else where they care and respect customers.

A team of two guys blew in bark (mulch) at our house yesterday, taking two hours to do a job that would have taken me several days. They spread bark over a newly landscaped area with no bark and spread over areas with existing bark. Highly professional, courteous, and they cleaned up afterwards with a leaf blower. Looks amazing. Only downside was that the service is in high demand, so for me it took a month or two to go from initial scheduling to actually getting the service done. Would highly recommend this company!
