The work they do is far more than a profession. Day after day, they provided patience, dignity, love, support, encouragement, and companionship to residents, while also offering reassurance to families who entrust their loved ones to their care. I witnessed countless acts of kindness, both large and small, that brought comfort and joy to my Mom and gave me peace of mind. Whether it was a warm smile, a gentle touch, a shared laugh, or simply taking a few extra moments to brighten her day, those gestures meant more than you will ever know. Memory care requires not only skill and dedication but also tremendous compassion. We are profoundly grateful for the warmth, respect, and genuine concern everyone there showed Mom throughout her journey. Knowing she was surrounded by people who truly cared for her was an incredible gift to me and my family.. We will always remember the kindness and the loving care they provided to our mother. Barbara's life was a blessing to all who knew her, and we are deeply grateful that, in her final years, she was cared for by such a remarkable group of people.

We were taking photos for my wife's birthday and saw time cherry statue in front of Balfour. A security person told us to leave as it was private property and we had to leave even though it was a public road. Bad form. Bad look.

Turned out to be the best choice of care facility for my mom when we became unable to care for her at home. So much praise for Balfour Skilled Nursing facility in Louisville. Extra praise for the remarkable, caring, CNA and Nursing staff. Mom had never wanted to live in “a facility”, but living at Balfour ended up a better experience than she could have imagined- the care, activities, concerts, community, friends, and delicious meals all combined to give her a wonderful quality of life.

My mom lived at Cherrywood for 2 years and 2 months. We were very satisfied with the care she received. The caregivers are kind and caring and really do want the best for their residents. They are special people who really have a calling to work with the elderly. The activities program is top notch and the activities staff is amazing. There are multiple activities for residents every day and special activities for holidays. Daily activities include games and crafts that are thoughtful and clever and fun for residents. There are also music performances by local musicians several times a week (singing, piano, violin, groups, and many other). There are presentations and story tellers. Also, the food was good and the chef is great! My mom loved the housemade desserts as well as the regular meals. They also accomodated her special diet and care about their residents nutrition. The nurses on staff were also caring and helpful. The building is gorgeous and does feel like home. It is beautifully decorated and the resident rooms and bathrooms are nice. The facilities director was also very helpful and easy to work with. There are two nice outside courtyards with beautiful flowers and plants that change throughout the seasons. Before my mom lived at Cherrywood, she lived 2 years at another local facility. The difference was night and day - Cherrywood was a much more positive and nurturing environment with a much more professional and caring staff than the first place she lived. I am so glad that my mom was able to spend two years there. We really appreciated the staff and our mom's time there.

My mom has been here for over a year in assisted living. She had lived in other Balfour facilities previously. I will say from walking in to leaving this place is five stars. The food is incredible. Sunday brunch is a must. The nursing staff takes such good care of my mom and she has many complications. I'm so grateful Balfour came to us in a time of need.

Horrible staff.Rude.I would not recommend this facility to anyone.My father was left in souled bedding for hours ,and the room had a constant unbearable odor of urine.The female manager ( tall) dresses like a hippie is rude.The handymen are rude unfriendly people.You can tell in each otlf them how much they hate their Jobs. When you arrive is a group of ladies talking with each other ignoring residents families and very unprofessional way to communicate.The caregivers are exhausted.They don't care .The management is the worst here.Im glad my father move to my house where he can be happy .The food is cold .The qmaps are exhausted.If you love your family keep them with you .This place is a lot of money for a bad service .Their faces are " angry faces" sagging cheeks turned down corners of the mouth death faces giving a sense of being perpetually annoyed or unapproachable .the only value person here is Lisa the lady is a happy person the rest must be fired

Leaving a 5 star review for Balfour seems entirely inadequate compared to the compassionate, professional work they perform. Everyone from the administration, to the nursing staff, care givers, dietitians, maintenance and support staff have a great attitude and genuinely care about both the residents and their families. On behalf of me and my three sisters, I cannot thank Balfour enough for the care they provided our mother in the final six months of her life. it's truly a top notch organization on all levels.

My dear friend lives at Clarendaile and I am her healthcare advocate. Since the moment she moved in, three years ago, until now, she has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Her care team keeps me informed of any concerns they have as they arise, they make sure all her individual needs are met, and they always have her best interests in mind with regards to her care. She is encouraged to participate in activities she enjoys, which include visits with dogs, happy hours with music, and putting together puzzles with her best friend. She gets to live in a way that makes her feel independent, but also knows she can ask for help when she needs it. I couldn’t be happier with the care and compassion provided to her and neither could she.

When my Dad fell skiing on Christmas 2024 I had been doing some research on some places that had both assisted living and memory care since it looked like he would eventualy need it. The fall excelerated everything and I needed a place for my Mom and Dad in a hurry. Tom and the staff at Belfour Central Park were so helpful and amazing durring a really tough time. They were also amazing when it came time for my parents to find other living situattions as well. I cant say enough good things about the Belfour Central Park, Thank you, Tom!
