We went canyoning in September. Best birthday of my life, and there were quite nice ones.
The experience:
We were out of main season, in September, so it was only 2 of us with my girlfriend and the guide, Castil. He was really professional, friendly and encouraging. The tour went really fast and in a really good atmosphere.
The route:
We picked the longer one, which was quite easy at this time, Castil explained that in winter time and after raining it is one of the most difficult route in the area. Would not recommend for starters, and faint hearted, but if jumping from 6-7 meters to cold water is your thing, you will definitely enjoy it.
The extras:
We asked Castil if he could help us get to the Centrum and back, he gave us a ride with his own car, which was really helpful for us, because the public traffic options are limited, and we couldn't have made it in time of the start.
My purse fell out in his car and after a minute of notice he turned back immediately, so I can say I got my money back😁
If I'm ever coming to this area, I'll definitely plan something with them, be it another canyoning, rafting or kayaking.
Oh yes, the usual tips:
-In their center they have shower and bathroom and good gear for the tours and for the money.
-Renting a shoe is not mandatory, but I'd make it as one as the shoes there are like a dream. Special shoes for canyoning
-Dont forget to bring some swim trunks and suits under the wetsuit
-Try the cherry products, they are handmade and local, and excellent 👌 quality stuff
Hemos hecho el barranco de los Papuos y la experiencia ha sido increíble. La actividad es muy divertida. El recorrido es espectacular, con saltos, toboganes y paisajes preciosos. Tanto Javi como Castillo fueron unos monitores cercanos y atentos, transmitiendo seguridad en todo momento. Se nota que disfrutan con su trabajo.
Experiencia única en el valle del Jerte.
Fuimos a hacer barranquismo en los papuos por primera vez con un amigo y fue todo un acierto contactar con esta empresa.
Casti, nuestro guía fue muy profesional y hizo que todo fuera más fácil apoyándonos en todo momento aunque nos costara un poco.
Sin duda repetiremos
Hemos hecho una travesía con kayak en el valle del Jerte en familia.
Actividad relajante y muy recomendable incluso para niños pequeños (los nuestros, cinco años).
Nuestro guía, Casti, ha sido muy cercano y amable, y ha sabido adaptarse al ritmo de los niños e no todo momento, adaptando la sesión a ellos y a nosotros en todo momento. Hemos pasado una tarde maravillosa y sin duda, repetiremos!!
Fue una experiencia muy satisfactoria desde el minuto en que empecé a ponerme en contacto con ellos.
Pero la experiencia mejoró aún más cuando conocimos a Casti, el cual ha conseguido crear un ambiente muy familiar, provocando así que la experiencia fuera muy gratificante. Sin duda en la próxima visita a Jerte, repetiremos!
