Best Restaurant in York!
Visited here one evening whilst we were in York. Really nice entrance, and the decor is amazing. The staff were all very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! Lots of vegetarian options too, which is always good. Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at. I would definitely come here again if I’m in York.

We went for a meal last night for my Birthday, our first time in York but my Brother recommended it.
The food was Amazing and as a group of six we didn’t leave anything.
The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and were Fantastic with our two children.
As it was my Birthday they came out with a small cake on a beautifully decorated plate and sang Happy Birthday,
The set menu is great value and the children’s menu is very reasonable to.
I had two cocktails and again they were very nice.
We would definitely visit again.
This place is amazing, an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. We went to York for the weekend whilst we had a new bathroom fitted. We had the daytime set menu which was beautiful and great value for money. We hadn't booked as we had planned a visit to the Yorkshire Museum and a river cruise, but were shown to s table and looked after well by the attentive stafg

Tucked away, worth seeking out.
Tucked away little restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes to suit most tastes. It was tastefully decorated and had a great atmosphere. Food was to a high standard and represented good value. Check out set menus and specials. Only negative would be that the services was a little thin on the ground. Maybe that's just the back room as you are 'out of the way'. That said, it was a busy Saturday. Would we return? Most definitely.

Brilliant all round experience
Brilliant food , brilliant wine, lovely environment. Chantelle was our server , she was friendly, kind, polite and made sure we were looked after . Brilliant place to go to and Brilliant food. Highly recommend. Reasonable prices!!!!

Pretty place, good food, wonderful staff. Went 3 adults and 3 children, service was quick and the set menu was very reasonably priced. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the pork belly and sea bass being firm favourites amongst us. The waitress “Freya” (apologies if misspelt) was particularly lovely, being warm, friendly and brilliant with our young children. Would highly recommend.

Looks lovely walking in, we visited when it was very quiet. Maybe a different atmosphere if busy. Server was a little confused as one of us wanted starters as main meals. However the food was very tasty & big portions but not cheap. £80+ for two at lunch time.

Delicious dinner in a lovely place.
We booked a table for an early post- theatre dinner and really enjoyed it. The place is beautiful with lovely lighting and a great atmosphere. We had the set menu- delicious crispy tempura prawns followed by the rump of beef. The steak was gorgeous- perfectly cooked and so juicy and tender with a lovely sauce. We both cleared our plates. Good value too with the discount for theatre goers. Staff were all lovely too. Thoroughly recommended.

Harry and Freya H looked after us. Exemplary. Warmth, attention to detail. A lovely gesture for our anniversary including Prosecco upon arrival and a cheeky anniversary dessert on the house. Love this place, food, service, perfection.

Fantastic meal in a beautiful setting.
All our meals were really tasty. I had the rump steak included on the set menu, the jus was the best I've had.
Definitely recommend.
