I recently had Roof Doctors perform a full inspection of a home I am/was planning to purchase. I couldn’t be more impressed with their professionalism and thoroughness—from start to finish. The inspector provided an in-depth analysis of the roof’s condition, backed by clear-and-close photographs, with detailed explanations.
The inspector identified advanced aging in the shingles, explained the risks of brittle materials, and even highlighted code compliance issues like the absence of drip edge flashing. Their ability to break down complex roofing issues into understandable terms, which is exactly what I needed to present the seller for further negotiation.
Again, the inspector did not only point out problems—he offered practical recommendations. He outlined and emphasized why spot repairs would only represent a temporary and inefficient solution. Instead, he developed a comprehensive plan for full replacement. Their proposal included modern GAF Timberline shingles, proper flashing, improved ventilation, and a new modified bitumen system for the patio roof. The inspector factored in warranty coverage and financing options, which showed a careful analysis about both quality and customer peace of mind.

I highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work in Arizona. The only recommendation I have for Roof Doctors is: (1) Ask the customer what method of payment would be preferred and disclose if any additional fees when a credit card is used for payment—full disclosure will win trust. (2) Provide the customer with a flat fee from the start based on square footage of the house (or another method), or call the customer to see if the cost of the inspection would be higher than the initial estimate prior to the start of the inspection.
Roof Doctors is in the process of installing a new roof in my condo complex - they are one week in on the project and have gone above and beyond in their communication and consideration for homeowners. The roofing team has cleaned up nails and shrapnel as they go to ensure the ground is safe for people and dogs alike. They have communicated with homeowners about project timelines and what to expect during construction. Very grateful for their professionalism and customer service.

If roofing had an Avengers team, Kali, Matt, and Jon from Roof Doctors would be leading the charge. They swooped in and saved me from a disaster of failing synthetic underlayment that was only a little over 5 years old combined with a “what-in-the-world-happened-here” installation job. Working with honest good people made the whole process way less stressful than it had any right to be. It’s rare to laugh during a roof system replacement, but here we are. I had a highly disappointing experience with Roof Doctors, LLC after a storm damaged my mother’s house in Tucson. Their business model seems predatory, targeting vulnerable people like my elderly mother. A representative, Matt’s brother, approached her post-storm, using Christian buzzwords to gain her trust and secure an exclusive contract. Despite my objections, she insisted that signed with them.
Initially, they were efficient, offering a discount for placing advertisement signs in our yard, which I agreed to. However, the job took over eight months to complete—far too slow. They handled additional repairs (e.g., eaves) not covered by insurance at average, not competitive, costs. They subcontracted the AC unit replacement to "We The People," a Phoenix-based HVAC company. I warned that their distance would lead to poor service, and I was right. The AC installation was not up to code, with a new breaker box incorrectly installed in a closet. "We The People" lied to Roof Doctors, me, and Pima County Inspectors, claiming it was from the old unit. Roof Doctors sided with their contractor, not me, and continues to refuse to get an inspection report, which will cause issues when selling the house.
Additionally, they mishandled repairs on our natural brick house. When rerouting the AC condensation line, they drilled through the block wall, damaging it. Instead of a proper fix, they slapped a flange on the pipe and painted the natural brick—an unacceptable solution. After I rejected this, they sandblasted the paint, leaving an ugly, mismatched stain on the wall.
The costs were outrageous for an 1,100 SF house. The roof repair (not a full replacement) cost my insurance $40,000—double the typical cost for a flat roof. The AC unit replacement, which should have been around $5,000, was billed at $10,000 for just a 3-ton unit, excluding the air handler and heat strip. It’s clear they’re overcharging insurance companies while cutting corners.
I withheld final payment for about 2 months, hoping for the inspection report, but eventually paid to be done with them. Roof Doctors preys on vulnerable people and exploits insurance companies, much like ambulance-chasing attorneys. I strongly recommend avoiding them until they adopt ethical practices. Do not trust Matt or his company.

Kali answered all my questions and concerns in regards to my roof. Insurance company took al long time to pay out. I would text Kali for an update and that same day I would receive my updates. Had a great experience with the Roof Doctor. Matt was very helpful with dealing with the insurance company and coming out helping me fix leaks. Also his office crew are courteous and answered questions as they arose. When his crew came out to replace the roof they were all professional and respectful.
