This company is a scam - they will not help you. We had a simple leak from the garbage disposal needing resealing and required a new flange. Our claim was denied. Their policy will replace an entire new garbage disposal but not the parts or any damages that are caused by normal wear and tear overtime. That doesn’t make sense. After speaking to Customer Service associate ***, she sent me a blank email after I asked her to send our policy, and Bridgette was unprofessional, disrespectful and her answer to every question I asked was “I don’t know that answer.” She said she doesn’t know what is covered and what isn’t. She also belittled my intelligence by assuming “I don’t read the fine print.” I am absolutely disgusted with this company and its employees. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I’m canceling this home warranty. I will be in communication with TV news to explain and expose this company for being a scam.

This company is a fraud. I terminated my contract in July 2024 because of bad service. They auto renewed my contract in Sept 2024 and I am still being charged for it. I just saw on **** today that this company has over 300 One star reviews and I understand exactly why.

can I give it zero star? They are a rip off company. The worst. I terminated my contract in July. I am still being charged 6 months later. Apparently, they auto renewed my contract even though I cancelled on time. Service sucks. Fridge went out and it took over 2 weeks to repair.

Exceptionally poor service. They found every way possible to refuse to cover any claims. Our furnace failed in Jan 2024 one week after closing on the coldest week of the winter. Had to pay for everything out of pocket and had no heat for 4 days. Stay away!

This warranty was recommended by a real estate agent. I filed two claims. The first one for the water heater, only covers $500 and replacement cost for water heater was $2000. Only one plumber agreed to talk to APHW, so he got the job. The contractors on the list APHW sends out will not do the verbal diagnosis over the phone. I was like WTH do you send out a list of uncooperative contractors? The second claim was not pursued because the contractor spoke limited English for a refrigerator repair. He can read and write but speaking English was more difficult. It didn't matter anyway because APHW does not cover if the Defrost or Heating Element mechanism doesn't work. I never had this happen before where that repair wasn't covered. I had another warranty company that did fix the defrost issue at another property. Anyway I ended up just replacing the refrigerator. I also put this property with another warranty company when it came to renew.

I like the company. 24 hour service for claims and coverage is pretty good. Wish they had better options for more coverage. Claims are easy to submit, renewal is easy. They could offer more coverage would be better all the way around. Some coverages are limited - the website is horrifically horrible. Yes I said that. Can not log in. Can not add ACH for the reimbursement process, NOT user friendly absolutely the worst website I have ever used or seen. I know they are trying to make all claims go by uploading documents. It will be impossible. And if they require that no one will be able to complete a claim.

Started a Claim because my Heater went out had my heater guy diagnose it and it came back as the Blower Motor is seized up and not working. Also noticed the same day it stopped working my two dogs we're non stop getting sick for the next two days because it was also Leaking Carbon Monoxide excessively inside the house. I Paid the Heating Company $750 and they only covered the blower motor $375 not the parts that could've Killed my Family over night while sleeping and got my dogs sick. Just unpleased that they don't take care of their customers or consider it even in tragedy of an experience. Do not recommend spending a penny with this company. Theirs a reason Health Care Insurance's are getting busted on right now. And it's because of cases like this. By a quick glance at the other reviews I do not see a single good review about this company. They didn't even cover the complete repair cost of the blower motor either. Only $375 out of the $500 and my deposit is $100 this place is what put's Home Warranty's to shame.

WARNING if you have a leaking dishwasher and you think APHW is going to cover a significant portion of the repair or replacement: Just go buy a new dishwasher. Don't bother calling a contractor because APHW will only give you enough money to cover the cost of the call out charge. And that will be 2 weeks after you submit a ton of paperwork to them. There's no transparency to what and how much will be covered. If we could have simply called them and spoken with an agent and been warned about how little would be covered we wouldn't have bothered with waiting the several days before a repair person could come look at the dishwasher, and now the hassle of trying to recoup the cost of that call-out for the repair person. I'm going to assume this is how they generally deal with any small appliance issue -- it's not worth making the claim. For what it's worth, the repairman was pretty surprised at how bad the coverage was. He said he dealt with home warranty claims all the time and he'd never heard of such a small amount being offered.

Coverage is very limited, youre better off setting aside the money youd pay for a Warranty unless this is included in a home purchase. In my experience with cancelling, Its nearly impossible to get someone on the phone or speak to a manager. I froze my credit card and they contacted my bank for updated payment information without informing me. Then, when I asked to cancel over the phone, they stated they would send me a cancellation form I must sign, and assured me I would not be billed for a renewal. Sure enough the following day, I was billed for a renewal and had not received cancellation paperwork. Never have I had such poor customer service, I was laughed at over this matter and belittled for simply stating how frustrating this process has been for me.

In case my 1-star review on ****** is difficult to find, here is the original with an update:I signed up for their home warranty six years ago through my realtor, hoping for peace of mind as I live alone. Unfortunately, after my recent claim experience, I cannot recommend this company.Over the past six years, I didnt file a single claim until this week. My repair bill totaled $2,730, and they only covered $400, costing me $2,944 out of pocket (including this years warranty premium of $614). That means I paid more than the repair itself, even though I had active warranty coverage.If youre considering this company, make sure to carefully read the terms and conditions. The exclusions, limitations, and caps in the fine print make it easy for them to deny or minimize claims, leaving you with the majority of repair costs. Instead of wasting your money on their warranty, set up your own repair fund. Had I done that, I'd be ahead. This was a poor investment, and I strongly advise others to avoid this company.******Update********** decided to pay out an additional $249, bringing the total reimbursement to $649.This means I spent $614 on this years premium to receive $649 back, but I still had to pay $2,081 out of pocket. This brings my total out-of-pocket cost to $2,695, despite having active warranty coverage, which still makes it a terrible value.I cannot imagine a single scenario where their warranty coverage would pay out an amount significant enough to make it worthwhile. While the Maximum Aggregate Liability of $25,000 sounds appealing, the maximum liability caps and exclusions make it highly unlikely they would ever pay that amount in aggregate. To even approach that limit, you would need to file a significant number of claims for repairs under $1,000 each in a single year with every claim fully approved, a scenario that is almost impossible given their restrictive terms.

I wish I could give this company zero stars and I wish I would never ever listened to my real estate agent when she suggested APHW she must be getting some kind of kickback because this is the worst company I've ever worked with total scam and they will find any reason to not pay your claims or to pay less than what it actually cost to fix your property. I had just purchased my first home and within a month water started leaking from the bathtub and I had to make a claim. I used a contractor from the list that was sent to me from APHW and the initial cost was $425 to replace a Cartridge. However that didn't fix the problem and the plumber found that more work had to be done inside the wall to fix the problem properly. So APHW took it upon themselves to open another claim even though it was for the same exact issue from the original claim the day before, The claim hadn't even been closed yet! APHW then denied my initial claim of $425 that I had already paid for and then only approved $500 (minus my -$100 deductible of course) of the $777 bill I received from the plumber to fix the problem. When I questioned them about why two claims were opened when it was the same issue nobody could give me an answer except for that it was denied because it wasn't fixed. What kind of answer is that? I had no idea that it was going to take more work to fix the issue and neither did the plumber until he got inside the wall to find out how bad the damage was. So not only was it ridiculous that they opened up a second claim, it was even more ridiculous that they wouldn't even cover what it cost to fix the problem. So now I'm out of pocket over $800 of my own money because APHW found a loophole by opening two different claims for the same issue and only paying $500 on a $1200 claim. I don't even know how that's legal, professional or ethical but they seem to get away with it. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. if you're looking to buy a new home or just looking for home warranty 100% avoid this company at all cost I just want to save anybody else from going through the heartache and the financial burdens of what APHW already put me through.
