I have booked 3 trips with Brandon. 3 times at Rifle Gap State Park. I took my 80plus year old Dad with me as he finds it uncomfortable to fish on the lake shore anymore. Brandon was an awesome fishing guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole trip both fun and exciting. We learned a lot, caught great fish, and felt completely taken care of the entire time. He’s friendly, easy to be around, and really knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend booking a trip with him!
We had an amazing experience with Apex Sport Fishing by Brandon! He was a fantastic guide — very personable, professional, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. He knew the best spots to go and the right techniques and bait to use to catch fish. Brandon was incredibly helpful the entire trip and made sure we had a great time out on the water.

My six year old son and I were invited to go fishing for his best friend’s seventh birthday. After years of trying, my son finally caught his first fish with Apex! Eventually catching so many rainbow trout that we completely lost track. Brandon couldn’t have been any better with the kids and kept things super fun while also teaching them some basics. He even taught them how to clean their fish and use that as bait for more fishing fun. We definitely want to do this again!
Brandon was extremely knowledgeable on the trips! He has taken my husband and I on a few trips and every time we have so much fun, and come home with dinner! He was super fun and kind. Highly recommend!! Great equipment too.
Brandon is one of the best fishing guides out there! He can take you to multiple lakes and will help you bring a fish of a lifetime!! Whenever I’m in Aspen Colorado and want to go fishing for, Lake trout, Walleye, Pike, and Tiger Muskie Brandon knows a lake. I have used Apex Sport Fishing for a lot of my fishing trips because of the quality of the fish and the overall experience that Brandon has provided over the years. Hands down some of my favorite fishing memories have came from using Apex Sport Fishing and it has never been disappointed me. If you really want a fishing guide that knows what he is doing then you are in the right spot! Apex Sport Fishing is one of the best!

5 star time. Brandon knows how to catch fish. When other people struggle to catch he loves the challenge. You won’t leave empty handed with Brandon in charge.

What an amazing trip our guide brandon was super cool and Knowledgeable. The spot was absolutely beautiful and the fishing was Plentiful so much so that we would have 2 or 3 on the line almost always!! Great fishing experience with Brandon. Went with my brother in May 2025, Brandon was very accommodating, and an excellent guide. While the weather was on and off, Brandon made it great, and kept us on the fish. Was a thrilling day, had some big bites, and caught a lot of pikes. Boat was well equipt for the lake, and with Brandon’s expertise you’re bound to have a great day. Was a memorable experience with my brother, and would recommend for anyone. Can’t wait to come back and catch some more!
Had a great time fishing with Brandon in May 2025. He was very easy to communicate with and was able to squeeze us in last minute without issue for a memorable trip. We caught pike on bait and several on casting lures along the shallow banks. He moved all around the lake to keep us on the fish. Overall excellent experience, we plan to make a trip with him an annual outing.
