Rachel was undoubtedly the best stylist I had in all of New York City. I have been meaning to write this review for months, and I should have written sooner. She was so good at her job I still regularly think about her and how kind and amazing she is. Even though I decided to purchase a dress from a different store, Rachel and the dresses she pulled for me remain one of the highlights of wedding dress shopping for me. She made me feel like we had been besties for years, and she was able to capture my style within 5 mins of knowing me. I am still on the fence about coming back for the veil, but I kinda want to just so I can hang with Rachel again lol. I higgggghhlyyy recommend Anthropologie weddings, and I will certainly be back to get some bachelorette/bridal shower things!
I had the best experience with Anthropologie Weddings (FiDi) and can’t recommend them highly enough. After being bullied and pressured at multiple traditional bridal salons—where they tried to push dresses way outside my budget or charge ridiculous rush fees—coming here was a complete breath of fresh air. The team was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely low-pressure. Dress shopping was actually enjoyable.
I visited four different Anthropologie Weddings locations (in different states) during my search, and every single one was incredible. The stylists at each store were consistently fantastic—warm, helpful, and truly invested in finding the right dress. FiDi is where I ultimately found and purchased my gown (Athena was my bridal stylist).
My dress was originally backordered, and with the tariffs at the time, the timeline shifted a bit—but they communicated every update clearly and proactively via email. Despite the push, the dress still arrived with plenty of time.
The two major selling points for me were that the dresses aren’t made to order—meaning they can be returned—and that the price points are far more reasonable than traditional salons. Even with a small return fee, it’s basically unheard of in bridal and made the process so much less stressful. I actually bought a different dress initially, then returned it once I found the one I ended up wearing.
When I later received a couple of conflicting alteration quotes, I called them for advice and they were totally honest—told me neither option was ideal and pointed me toward a place they trusted. That kind of transparency is rare.
I just got married and my dress was perfect. I absolutely loved wearing it, and it looked far more expensive than it was. I’m so grateful for the experience I had here. If you’re dress shopping, go to Anthropologie Weddings first.
Izzy was just wonderful- she was totally prepared for my appointment and took the time to get to know me and my style. She was the perfect balance of encouraging and helpful, whilst letting me form my own opinions about how I felt and looked in the dresses. She also pulled further styles based on what we’d liked including some I wouldn’t have chosen off the rack but ended up being amazing options! We are from London but would recommend to anyone in nyc or visiting!!
Beware, they have a fraction of the dresses in store that you see online. I had a horrible experience. After putting so much time into my appointment form, I arrived with my consultant just saying “I see you want a short dress….” Not mentioning any of the dresses the form makes you put in as inspiration. I was very clear she didn’t take the time to look at anything I worst at all. She then told me they have no dresses here and they have more options online. I can just order from there and return. I knew that could’ve been an option but I made the appointment expecting to at least try on a few options I saw online or put into the questionnaire to try-on in person. There were possibly only 6 dresses on the floor that were more cocktail inspired. Then she just followed me while I just grabbed 3 I didn’t really love. I tired them on, hated them and immediately left.
The best experience and most beautiful dresses on a budget! I wanted to have a short wedding dress for my courthouse wedding, and I bought it in here for about $300 with the best quality and exactly how imagined!
If you want a wedding gown, it is bout +1500
But they are so beautiful, and the people in here are the nicest I've ever talked to. They truly treat you like a friend and respect and care for you.
BEST WEDDING SERVICE ❤️💖
I had a great appointment with Eliza. I went in prepared with pictures of the dresses that I most liked from the BHLDN site to maximize appointment time. Eliza found and pulled them all and we started trying them on right away. This was one of my first appointments so the styles of the dresses were all over the place still, and Eliza was amazing helping me understand what my vision for the big day was. Eliza was patient, enthusiastic, and a great listener--everything a bride-to-be hopes to find in a consultant! Highly recommend.
Aliah is the sweetest and best stylist!
The visit to BHLDN was my first ever bridal appointment. I went in by myself and of course I was a bit nervous and lost. Aliah made it smooth, professional yet very sweet and considerate.
- I’m a shy person, I don’t like to get naked around strangers, even in the locker room. She was so kind and patient by giving me space in the fitting room to change in and out of the dress, and always there for me when I was ready to step out for her to zip/unzip the dress.
- Every time I was ready to try on the next one, the dress was already in the fitting room waiting for me, and she kept the fit room organized.
- During my visit, I felt very comfortable and supported because of Aliah. I had her full attention and she shared many insights and knowledge about wedding gowns.
I knew she was the best when I was still there. And a few trips to other bridal shops confirmed that. No where I went got her kind of service. The service at some shops with way more higher price tags were not even 50% good as Aliah’s. I’m still touring, no purchase yet but I still have something from BHLDN on my mind.
One thing not so ideal about this shop though, the samples are visibly dirtier than other shops I have been to. Hope management can see this and make some improvements.
My experience at Anthro Weddings was terrific. Libby is a true bridal expert. She was so knowledgeable, personable, attentive, kind (I could go on!). This was the perfect place to jumpstart my wedding dress try ons.
The only thing I could have wished for is to have a location in Canada! We were happy to travel in, but it could have been nice to have an option closer to home.
THANK YOU LIBBY<3
Ella was AMAZING! Super helpful, great vibes, helped my sister try on some beautiful dresses!
If I could give Anthro Weddings FiDi 10 stars I would - honestly the shop was small, but well lit - never felt too crowded and despite having a full Saturday never made me feel rushed...
The true reason for the 5 stars is Libby - she was FANTASTIC assisted me with my options, fit, ways the dresses could be manipulated, etc. I was looking for a "little white dress" and she never pressured me based on gown price - never felt like she was trying to make the best sale but she wanted me to find the best dress for me! On top of her expertise and professionalism she was so, so sweet! I would recommended this shop and Libby to any bride looking for a great experience!
Wonder experience this past winter with Libby! This was The first place I looked, and I wasn’t expecting to find my dress here. Walked out with two amazing options at a great price!
Caitlin was amazing! She was so helpful in finding options that were mindful of things like style preferences and budget. She was very knowledgeable and helped make my experience so fun with my friends
Libby made our experience so fantastic! She was such a bubbly person who knew exactly what I was looking for. Ended up finding the dress of my dreams. Anthro was the only place I went where I found 3+ dresses that I actually liked - and then the ONE I loved! I cannot recommend Anthro for a wedding dress enough, and if you are lucky enough to get Libby to help you, you will be in amazing hands!
My wife had a really bad experience at another dress shop and she went into BHLDN about a month before our wedding to find a new dress. She worked with Kyleigh, who was incredibly helpful and set her up with the perfect dress. We're so grateful for the incredible service and beautiful dress.
If you’d like to avoid unnecessary stress leading up to your wedding, I STRONGLY urge you to choose a different store for anything wedding related.
I have eight bridesmaids that all ordered dresses from bhldn. Six of them have been sent the wrong dress in the wrong color. I’m not sure how that’s even possible. This business is so bad that it would be almost comical if the dresses weren’t all backordered that now I’m beyond stressed about timing. One of my bridesmaids that got the wrong dresses returned the two dresses they sent her in black when she ordered champagne to the store and reordered it and they sent her the wrong color again. That is seven orders that have been wrong. I HATE this store. What a joke. I’m genuinely confused as to how this store stays in business.
The manager of this store, Corinne, is actually an angel on earth. I had a really complicated situation with my dress and Corinne is taking so much time and care to resolve my issue. It's unlike any customer service I've experienced...the staff at BHLDN understands how important a wedding dress is to a bride and they are extremely compassionate and attentive.
