Ancora B&B is one of those places you almost hesitate to tell others about because it feels like a secret you want to keep. I brought a group of 15 women for a retreat and from the very first moment, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s home.
Laura, the owner and heart of the property, sets the tone. She has that rare gift of making everyone immediately feel seen and cared for. In her presence, you don’t feel like a guest—you feel like family.
The setting itself is stunning. Mornings opened with yoga overlooking the hills, the kind of soft quiet that makes you breathe differently. Our days were filled with wine tours, slow meals, and the kind of conversations that seem to come naturally when the world around you is this beautiful.
And the food. I am still thinking about it. The flavors, the freshness, the way every meal felt both unfussy and completely special. There is a good chance you will wonder how to recreate every dish when you get home.
