I stayed during a retreat and had an incredible experience — the property is stunning, peaceful, and full of charm. Laura is one of the warmest, most welcoming hosts I’ve ever met, and she puts so much heart into everything she does. My room was cozy, the meals were wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect for rest, reflection, and connection.
If you’re thinking about visiting or attending a retreat here, I highly recommend it. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.

A magical spot in the Tuscan countryside! The grounds are beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Laura is the heart of this B&B and she is what makes it so truly special- she is a warm, funny, vivacious host that makes everyone feel so taken care of. Also, the food was so delicious and almost everyone I went with left with a cookbook. Can’t recommend this place enough!
This was my first retreat and the location couldn’t have been better. Aside from the obvious beauty and location, the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Laura was accommodating to all my dietary restrictions and food was delicious. With more variety than I’ve had in a long time. She was the best.
The Toscana Salt sold in the storefront is delicious by the way, I should’ve brought a big tub home.
The plumbing is great. Hot water was hot and we had good pressure the whole time. Would 100% recommend and come back again.

A stunning location, close to Pisa airport, close to Florence and on the door step to wonderful vineyards and a beautiful town of Greve in Chianti - the Saturday market a must visit.
Sun rises and sun sets to enjoy, with Laura, who is the most wonderful host, who will do everything to ensure your stay is the best in every way.
My tip - try the wine, try all the food - everything is made with love and local produce, and be sure to enjoy the beautiful gardens.
Staying at Ancora del Chianti was an absolute joy, and it was such a pleasure to organise my yoga retreat there. The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature, peaceful, and full of charm.
We all came back with wonderful memories. The food was lovely, breakfasts and brunches were colourful, fresh, and delicious, and the three-course evening meals were different every night. We especially loved the “grandma’s recipe” cake - such a treat.
The yoga studio is perfect for practice, I had 12 guests plus myself, and it was just the right size for our group. Laura was incredibly helpful in arranging transport to and from the airport, as well as for our day excursions.
There are so many beautiful spaces to relax and plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding area, I t’s a truly special place, and Laura’s warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable.
Every second of staying at Ancora del Chianti was like a dream! From Laura’s warm welcome, to Cesare’s charm, to Nonna waving to us from her second floor window - it was all magical. The accommodations are fantastic only to be bested by the delicious meals. I hope to someday return to Italy, and I will definitely schedule AdC for my stay!

There are some aggressive mosquitoes so be prepared for that, but the host does have some insect repellent burners for dinner time which was helpful.

Laura has been on of the best and nicest hosts we've encountered on our Journeys.
She and her son have been very helpful with finding activities & routes and taking care of everything we needed for our stay.
Bonus: The watercolour course with Daniela has been helpful and very enjoyable!
We had amazing days in Tuscany and it felt so good to come back every night to the comfortable room and to enjoy breakfast with a view of the vineyards. It was a quiet paradise and we felt very relaxed. Laura is the most attentive and sweet host! Communication with her was very smooth. She even arranged a late check in for us and sent us videos to guide us through the place, as we arrived late.
Ancora del Chianti will stay in our hearts ☺️
I recommend to be aware of the last part of the road which can be uncomfortable (but still managable) for less powerful car.
The most stunning stay in the Tuscan countryside, not far from Florence. Laura is the most attentive and gracious host, and her home is beautiful. If you’re a flower lover, you will adore her gardens! Every detail was perfection, and her meals were a delicious tour of Italian cuisine. Don’t skip watching the sunset from the hammock out back. It’ll bring you peace you never knew!

Having returned recently from a seven-night art retreat at Ancora del Chianti, I am at a loss for words to express how remarkable the week was. The setting in the hills of Tuscany with its panoramic views of the mountains, wineries, olive trees, and castles beyond is breathtaking. The lovingly restored old farmhouse and its gardens and out buildings, one of which has been made into a multi-purpose art/yoga studio, are evocative of days gone by yet comfortable and serene. However, it is Laura Rontani and her family and staff who make this B&B so special, truly a "bit of heaven" away from daily life. Laura is warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help make your stay memorable in any way she can. She is knowledgeable, passionate about Ancora del Chianti, and glad to share all of the wonders that it has to offer from the homemade Tuscan meals to the beautiful gardens and the people. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to spend a week at Ancora del Chianti.

Esperienza rigenerante e indimenticabile in un B&B accogliente e pulito immerso in un contesto naturale silenzioso, dove la vista ha la possibilità di spaziare tra gli ulivi, i vigneti, i fiori, le piante, gli alberi e….le lucciole!
La host è una persona fantastica e disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta dell’ospite.
I sapori e gli odori della cucina stuzzicano l’appetito e lo soddisfano pienamente.
Auguro un buon soggiorno a chi deciderà di scoprire questo angolo di Paradiso.

Esperienza fantastica. Immerso nel verde tra vigneti e uliveti. Seguendo le precise indicazioni di Laura, la splendida padrona di casa, facile da raggiungere. Accoglienza, camera, colazione, pranzo e cena: tutto impeccabile e ottimo . Vista mozzafiato e la sera illiminato dalle lucciole! Bella la sala dove abbiamo vissuto una splendida esperienza di mindfulness body!
