Never would l recommend this business, had made an appointment to service our solar on the 27th may at 9.30 am and rang twice to confirm. As they didnt show, we rang again to ask were they where, we were informed they were coming 2nd of june plus told they sent us a message, unfortunately this was a lie by them. They rang today saying they cannot come due to weather, which we totally understood, then stated they will come 25th june another month off, we made it clear our disappointment at keep putting us off, then 1 hour latter approximately they rang us again to say we wont do the job as we believe we cannot do it. We have found this whole behaviour totally unprofessional, rude, arrogant and extremely hurtfull to us. Our solar system is over 10 years old and unfortunately the original business has gone out of production, this is not the consumer's fault, business come and go this is the real world. We are pensioners now and retired but feel a good professional business would have been more concious of there behaviour, at the end of the day this job could have lead to a full new system plus giving us the opportunity to know a trustworthy business we could count on for so many other jobs. Feel for anyone else that might come into the same situation, although not the consumer's fault you will be shunned. In todays economics we would have thought reputation was very important but obviously not. Lets hope you dont go out of production in 10 years and leave customers out in the cold. Business come and go this is the real world but keeping your customers happy is so important, lost all our future work and respect.
We’re sorry for the frustration caused here. After reviewing the booking notes and call recordings, we can confirm there was a mistake made on our end when discussing the appointment date. You were told the appointment was for the 27th May, however the booking in our system was for 2nd of June. We sincerely apologise for that error and understand why that would have been frustrating.
On the 2nd June, the appointment could not go ahead due to the weather. Because the work required roof access on a wet tin roof, it was not safe or appropriate for our technician to proceed. Safety is something we take seriously, and we will not send our team onto a roof in unsafe conditions.
We also want to clarify that our booking confirmations and reminders are automated through ServiceM8, and are normally sent by SMS and email when a booking is made, as well as again before the appointment. We are not suggesting you intentionally missed anything, but we do want to be clear that we would never knowingly mislead a customer.
Following the later phone conversation, the matter was reviewed internally and management made the decision not to proceed with the booking. We understand you were frustrated, particularly given the appointment-date error, however our records reflect a different version of the conversation regarding the weather and roof access. During the call, our team member explained that attending a wet tin roof in rainy conditions was unsafe, and that decision was challenged rather than accepted.
We also reviewed the way our team member was spoken to during that call, and we did not feel it was acceptable. We are always respectful toward our customers, and we expect the same respect to be shown to our team. Based on the safety concerns and the way the conversation unfolded, we made the decision that it was best not to continue with the booking.
Regarding the solar system itself, older systems can be more difficult to work on, particularly when the original installer or manufacturer is no longer available. Depending on the repair or alteration required, an electrician may take on responsibility for parts of the existing system, which is why some solar jobs cannot always be accepted.
Again, we apologise for the confusion around the original appointment date. That part was our mistake. However, based on the safety concerns, the nature of the system, and the way the later conversation unfolded, we believe it was appropriate not to continue with the booking.
