UPDATE!!! 10 years ago I decided to go with Chip and his team for full install. The customer service and quality of work has only gotten better as I continue to work with them. Below is my original review and it all stands true. Johnis usually our tech and he is amazing.
If I could give 10 stars I would. When I was first getting quotes for a complete system install, ductwork and all, I met with all the big name companies. Most of them made it feel like I was just a sale not a person. Chip met with me and explained, in depth, the workings of the air handler and heat pump. I knew then if someone is this passionate, and believes in the product, I had to go with him. Once we worked out the details He offered to meet me in a Saturday and lend me portable AC units until my install was complete. I knew I made the correct choice when I met Gary and Adam and they shared the same passion Chip does. The install was flawless. If you're looking for a heating and cooling company, don't waste your time with anybody else. Thank you Chip, Gary and Adam for the excellent work and customer service.
Since I have multiple dual natural gas/heat pump zones, I signed up for twice a year maintenance checks (spring and fall) which keeps things running at high efficiency and prevents system failures during peak demand. They do full installs as well as routine fixes and tune ups, check for warranties to save customers money, and give good advice. They recently repaired a crawl space leaky flex duct which is an underrated cause of energy loss inefficiency.

"I wanted to share a great review about Chip, Ray, and Colby. All three were total pros, and always showed up on time. They installed 4T and 3T units in our new home's HVAC system. Chip really stood out because he took the time to explain the whole process to me from start to finish. Honestly, I didn't go with the absolute cheapest quote. Chip's quote was a bit higher, but that's because I wanted some specialized stuff done.
The team was at my house every weekday for over a month. Every day, Ray would call me and let me know what they got done. We were actually living in the house during a crazy four-month renovation, but you hardly knew they were even there. They cleaned up great each day! Chip was the brainpower behind all the calculations, balancing, and figuring out where everything should go. I even saw him training his team on the job, showing them how to handle unusual situations that came up. Our floors and carpet were already in, and they made sure to use drop cloths every day.
Thing is, most contractors just care about the immediate job, not building a lasting relationship. Chip stayed in touch with me for over a year and a half, just checking in on the new units. When I moved and bought a new house, Chip was the first contractor I called.
I believe in paying a fair price and building a great working relationship, not squeezing every last dollar out of a contractor. This team went way beyond what most contractors do these days. We live in a world where it's usually all about the contractor. This project was definitely expensive, but it was a fair price, and we both walked away happy. I would definitely recommend Chip and his team."

I did not have a pleasant experience. Started with the original visit where the technician determined that the unit needed a new motor. And he informed that the charge was $400, and he ended up charging me $550. leaving my unit vibrating and making a sound that with time became louder. I call them to return because the noise was incredibly loud. I was informed, by the same technician that I needed a new blade for the motor, charged me 130.00. Leaving the unit working. I was contacted by their office, and the job was priced at 600 for the part and changing the blade (3 hours of labor). Next day the unit stopped working and when I checked the blade had slided down the center rod and stopped with the unit's compressor. When I checked, the screw that holds the blade in place was left loose. I ordered the blade which it cost me 40.00 and installed myself in 20 minutes. The unit was not cooling, and I contacted them and after complaining about the overcharge for the installation of the blade, they offered to check my unit again and not to charge me for labor if parts were needed. The technician informed that it was the capacitor and wanted to charge me 200.00 for the part and installation. I purchased the part myself for 15.00, changed in 15 minutes, the unit was working like new. From this point on is going to be very difficult for me to trust any HVAC company.

Chip and his team were fantastic. Our A/C went out on a weekend and I called him on Sunday night to see if they could help. He got a team out here first thing Monday morning to start diagnosing the issue. Mind you, it was the hottest week so far and the temps were not going down any time soon. His techs got to the bottom of the issue and we're able to get it resolved pretty quick to get us cooled down. Chip and his techs walked us through the entire process and made sure to explain everything in layman's terms so that we could fully understand what we were up against and our options to tackle it.
I would recommend Americool to any of my friends and family. Great job Americool.

Prompt attention to my problem. Came out same day . Evaluated the issue and repaired on the spot . On time for appt and called when on the way .Was really nice to have instant relief from the 90 plus days . Ive known the owner for over 30 years . He or his techs have always taken care of my needs in the same manner mentioned above.

They are going to over charge you for everything!! I called them last night to install a new capacitor on my hvac unit since I couldn’t just run to Lowe’s to buy the part. They replaced it and unit still wouldn’t turn on. The tech went to the attic to discover the condensation pump wasn’t working and it cut the power to the unit. They got the system to work. Upon receiving my bill they wanted to charge me 200 dollars for a 20 dollar part. Now I have my own business and I understand markup on items but 10 times the cost of the item is robbery. Not to mention they also topped off the Freon(didn’t ask them to do it) and got charged an arm and a leg for that too.I had their technician remove the new capacitor and install my old one because I wasn’t about to be taken advantage of because of company policy. I bought a new capacitor on Amazon for 20 bucks that got delivered this morning

My A/C went out right before the 4th of July! Needless to say, it was HOT. I researched emergency repair and came across the is company. I put in a request and the technician was at my house 1 hour later! Diagnosed my problem and had it fixed within the hour. I recommend them for any canoe heating issues.
The tech John was very friendly and explained everything thing to me. Great work!

I was thrilled!!! As hot as it had been, I'm sure they were extremely busy. I expected to have to wait quite a while after getting on theist list. Instead. I was pleasantly surprised that my unit was fixed so quickly. Greg was excellent and I couldn't be more pleased with him and with Americool!
