Went to check my broken filling, they made me do the cleaning which was totally unnecessary. Then during the cleaning my that exact tooth was drilled more than necessary which started giving me biting pain. So they took an xray and asked me to do root canal because their mistake. I did the root canal from somewhere else as I don’t wanted to mess up my tooth again with them with those expensive prices. But even after 3 repeated root canals in last 2 years the pain never went away. Very expensive prices and learning dentists. Please stay away from this place.

A hygiene appointment is an important part of the treatment process to ensure gums are healthy and any restoration has a better chance of lasting long term.
Teeth are not drilled during hygiene, but it is possible for a very loose defective filling to fall out in the process. However,  this is not caused by the hygiene cleaning. 
A root canal is needed when decay progresses in the tooth, this happens over some time.
