What customers say about American National Movers
Recent reviews
I had a great experience with American National Movers! I chose a dedicated load, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. The crew took great care of all of my belongings, especially my fragile items, which I really appreciated.
The movers were professional, friendly, and careful, and everything arrived safely. The entire staff was great to work with; from the estimators and managers to the moving crew.
Thankfully, everything was smooth sailing, and they made what could have been a stressful move so much easier. Thank you to the entire American National Movers team for the great service! I would definitely recommend them.
Two worst Companies
On May 11th of this year are property was picked up for a move from southern California to Oklahoma. It is now September 2nd and we still have not received some of our stuff. This moving company subcontracted this move without telling us until the truck showed up. The subcontractor was Aegis Moving out of Florida. We have emailed and called, we have been told next week, that our items were missing, then found coming next week and still nothing. Both companies are now not returning our calls. We have filed complaints on Federal level, still nothing. We are both elderly we called the BBB in both New York and Florida and no one will help us.

Our family recently relocated from New Jersey to Georgia, and American National Movers made the transition smooth from start to finish. Their long distance moving service was professional, efficient, and dependable. The movers treated our furniture like it was their own, and everything arrived in excellent condition. Moving from Texas to Illinois felt overwhelming until I hired American National Movers. Their long distance moving service was organized, professional, and reasonably priced. The crew worked efficiently, explained the process clearly, and delivered everything within the expected timeframe. I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a cross-country or state-to-state move.
I recently moved from Florida to New York with American National Movers, and I had a positive experience. The team handled my belongings with care throughout the move. I had forgotten to include a few pieces of furniture in my original inventory, so the price had to be adjusted, but they were fair and did not take advantage of the situation. They worked with me and kept my budget in mind as much as possible. I appreciated their professionalism and would recommend them to anyone planning a long distance move.
I recently used American National Movers for a long distance moving service from Florida to North Carolina, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The team stayed in touch throughout the move, arrived on time, and packed everything with care. My furniture and fragile items arrived safely without any damage. If you're looking for a reliable long distance moving company for an interstate move, I highly recommend them.
Worse experience ever. I almost had a nervous breakdown
I read the reviews for this place which at first glance seemed ok. Just before our move date my point of contact had a family emergency, out of the country. We were "handed off" to what I later found out was a third party mover. We had to pay up front with a secured payment method. This third party mover stood us up twice. They never did show with a combination of stories of why. very shady. Come to find out this place does not have a license nor insurance to do business in Virginia. We ended up getting "A Friendly and Affordable Mover" and that experience was very good.

TLDR: Three missed delivery dates, half my money collected over Venmo to a stranger, and now total s
Hired American National Movers for a partial-load move from Florida to San Diego, around $3,600. Pickup on June 2 went fine, which makes sense, because that's the part where they collect your money.
After that it fell apart. I was told my first available delivery date was June 15, a date my project manager Chris put in writing himself. Then it became a June 21-23 window. Both came and went with no delivery and no warning. Then I was told June 29. That passed too. Three promised dates, zero deliveries.
Once they had my deposit and half the balance, communication died. Calls, texts, and emails to the office, to Chris, and to the carrier "Frank" all go unanswered. Complete radio silence while a stranger holds everything I own.
A few things that should have been red flags: half the payment was collected by Venmo to a random personal name, which no legitimate company does. And when I asked Chris about the June 15 date he set in writing, he acted like he never said it.
As of writing this, I have no belongings and no way to reach a single human being. Do not use this company.

Tyler,
We are sorry to hear about your frustration and understand that delivery delays can be stressful. We do want to clarify a few important details regarding your shipment.
Your move was booked as a shared-load, also known as a piggyback-load service, which is the more budget-friendly option compared to a dedicated truck. As we explain to our customers prior to booking, and as stated on our website, shared-load shipments can have longer delivery timelines, especially during the busy summer season. Because these shipments are consolidated with other loads, delivery dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed the same way a dedicated route can be.
For smaller long-distance shared shipments, the carrier’s delivery window allows up to 21 business days from the first available delivery date. Based on our review, that timeframe has not yet passed. If the carrier exceeds that delivery window, then applicable discounts or adjustments may be reviewed according to the carrier’s policy.
We have also reviewed your file and do not see anything deceptive regarding the pricing of your move. The quote provided was below standard industry pricing, and it was still honored. There was also no pickup-day price increase, which is often where pricing issues occur in the moving industry. The current delay appears to be related to shared-load logistics and routing, not a refusal to deliver your items.
We also want to clarify that American National Movers does not directly service shared-load shipments. Shared-load moves are handled by the assigned carrier agent. In your case, the shipment is being handled by Ageis, and they are responsible for the transportation and final delivery of your belongings. That being said, we have still been actively trying to assist you with updates and communication.
Our calls are recorded and monitored, and we have staff available to answer calls, return calls, and send text updates as information becomes available. Additionally, Chris, one of our managers, will be reaching out to you directly to further discuss your concerns and help work toward a resolution.
At this time, based on the information provided, delivery should take place within approximately 7 business days. We will also be addressing the delay with the carrier directly.
While we do not believe the review fully reflects the shared-load terms or the efforts being made to assist you, we do take your concerns seriously and will continue working to help resolve the matter.
Thank you,
