Budget Ruined by Endless Mandatory Fees
My sister and I booked a 3-day tour for $1,400 total, expecting that to be the final price. We were wrong. By the end, we had paid over $2,900. The mandatory extras included a $160 Eco-Tourism Tax, a $120 River Safety Equipment Fee, and a $90 Nighttime Canopy Walk Permit." We were also told we had to pay $100 each for a "Community Contribution" that was never mentioned during booking. When we questioned these charges, the staff became aggressive and refused to provide receipts. This company preys on tourists who have no choice but to pay once they are deep in the jungle. Avoid at all costs.
False Advertising and $1,000 in Surprise Charges
We booked a "Multi-Day Nature & Wildlife Tour for $800 per person ($2,400 total). The website promised an "all-inclusive experience." Instead, we were hit with nearly $1,000 in additional charges. These included a $200 Wildlife Photography Fee, a $150 Boat Fuel Surcharge," and a $75 per person Jungle Conservation Levy. They even charged us $60 for Extra Bottled Water" that should have been included. The final bill was $3,400 for a tour that was mediocre at best. The guide was disinterested, and we saw very little wildlife. This is false advertising, plain and simple.

We had the BEST time on our 3 day, 2 night tour. Piero was the most incredible guide, knew all the best spots, and had answers to all of our questions. The communication with the owner was excellent. They provided PLENTY of delicious food at every meal. Highlights of our trip were catching 11 piranhas and visiting monkey island. We also did several walks through the jungle to observe biodiversity and a couple of canoe trips on the lake behind the lodge. We cannot recommend this experience and this company more! So thankful that we chose them for this once in a lifetime experience. Make sure to bring bugspray :)

We booked a couple's tour for $1,900, which supposedly included a pre-paid transfer from Iquitos airport. Upon arrival, we were charged an extra $180 for a Fuel Surcharge. Our guide was an hour late, and then demanded a $90 "Waiting Charge for keeping us waiting! Our final total came to $2,650 The company's communication was terrible, and they refused to refund any of these bogus fees. A professional operator would clearly list all costs upfront. This felt like a coordinated effort to maximize profits through deception.

We absolutely loved our 4-day trip to Pacaya Samiria with Amazon Wildlife Tours! Allen was an incredible guide with so much knowledge about the wildlife and the national park. He was so organised and planned out amazing days for us, making sure we got the most out of every moment.
We saw an incredible amount of wildlife and had the perfect mix of adventure deep in the jungle while still being comfortable at the lodges. The beds were comfy, the food was fantastic, and we were so well looked after. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all delicious, and we were well fed throughout the entire trip. Having access to showers and toilets at the lodge was also a huge bonus after long days exploring.
We also had a local guide from the village near the lodge who was amazing. His ability to spot wildlife and guide us through the jungle was unbelievable. His knowledge of the area and the animals made the experience even more special.
We honestly couldn’t recommend this tour enough. Our only regret is that we didn’t book more days! Thank you so much to Allen and the whole team for such an unforgettable experience. We would absolutely do it again!

Hicimos el full day de la Isla de Monos y fue una experiencia excelente. Desde el momento en que nos recogieron en el hotel hasta que nos dejaron de regreso, todo el proceso estuvo muy bien organizado. Todo el staff fue muy amable, puntual y atento, lo que hizo que el tour fuera muy cómodo y agradable.
Nuestro guía fue el señor Armando Meléndez, una excelente persona. Más allá de explicarnos minuciosamente cada detalle, tuvo la paciencia de responder cada una de mis preguntas. Lo aprecié muchísimo porque, como persona curiosa, sé que hacer muchas preguntas a veces puede llegar a abrumar a la gente. Perfect and fun jungle tour
We had an amazing jungle tour thanks to Allan. The itinerary was perfect, a lot of activities, but also enough time to relax. Allan knew a lot about the animals and nature and can instantly show you the birds name and information. He is also very respectful to the environment. We saw the pink dolphins, sloths, a lot of beautiful birds and we even fishes some piranha's! Also, all meals were delicious! And we were with a family with kids. They divided us over two groups as the needs and wishes of families with young kids are different from adults, which we found very thoughtful. Overal it was a amazing trip.

That’s really nice experience, they can personalize the itinerary for us and we really enjoy the fishing and swimming experience. The food is nice especially the juice, like the camucamu and strafruit juice. Our trip to the Amazon in Iquitos, Peru was seriously unforgettable. We saw monkeys, sloths, colorful birds, amazing plants, and even grey and pink river dolphins, all surrounded by incredible jungle scenery.
The guide was super friendly and knew so much, sunset boat rides on the Amazon River felt magical.
The lodge was really comfortable, the food was great, fresh and tasty, and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle was such a cool experience.
The whole trip was adventurous, relaxing, and eye-opening. I’d definitely recommend visiting the Amazon in Peru if you love nature and a little adventure.
