Frazer spent a lot of time with me, checking a hearing aid would work then working out with me what the best hearing aid would be, with numerous free trials. My father in law recently purchased hearing aids from Almond hearing in Broughty Ferry after struggling with his nhs ones for over a year. The difference these hearing aids have made to his quality of life is worth every penny.
The service we received from Lindsey was brilliant. From the initial hearing assessment to the aftercare we were extremely well looked after. She explained everything in detail, answered all of our questions and was able to provide any troubleshooting instructions we needed. There was no pressure at all to purchase the hearing aids either!

I had a very thorough hearing test by Ian using the latest technology .My husband was also tested and needed hearing aids . Highly professional and reassuring service
The location was very convenient and easy to access, with plenty of good parking available. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, offering me a cancellation slot and making me feel completely at ease. Communication was clear, and their excellent listening skills stood out. I also appreciated the detailed instructions about the procedures. Overall, they managed to solve my problem effectively, and the whole experience was smooth and reassuring.

Excellent customer service, easy to make an appointment, very experienced audiologist who carried out a thorough health check, ear examination and both ears expertly removed wax using a suction device. Can't recommend Almond Hearing enough and they will be my 'go to' for ear problems in future.
Price for all treatment carried out was £35 per ear.

I have just taken my dad to the Almond Hearing clinic for the first appointment and all I can say is what fantastic experience. From the receptionist (sorry I don’t know her name) who was professional , extremely helpful and friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere, to Ian the audiologist who was just lovely, professional and informative. Ian conducted a very thorough examination and then took the time to explain the results and the available options to both of us and in a way that dad who has dementia could understand and did not feel pushed into anything. Just waiting to go back for dad’s trial of hearing aids. Cannot recommend these Almond Hearing Clinic enough. Much better than those faceless multi-store organisations.

Over the years I have experienced both NHS and High Street audiologists with varying degrees of satisfaction.
I Googled Independent Audiologists, found Almond Hearing on my doorstep in Broughty Ferry and made an appointment.
As I stepped inside Brook House I was warmly welcomed by Lindsey, and ushered into an enormous consulting room. All the state of the art audiology equipment you would expect to find was situated in this room with beautiful original Victorian cornices, dado rails, and wooden shutters.
OK - this isn't directly connected to the business of audiology, but it does set the scene for what came next.
Lindsey was friendly, but very professional. She was unhurried and listened carefully to my reasons for seeking her help in a sympathetic and empathetic manner.
My hearing was tested in the usual small booth. Lindsey's explanation of what was going to happen and what I was supposed to do was concise and to the point, and afterwards she explained the results very clearly and explained the graphs on the monitor.
My current aids are five years old and need charging twice per day. Lindsey explained how much the technology has moved on during this period, including the increased battery life.
I was able to try out a pair of new aids and I was very impressed by the improved clarity.
At no point did I feel that I was being pressured to buy new hearing aids. Lindsey simply pointed out the drawbacks of old technology v the advantages of more up-to-date models, and left me to draw my own conclusions.
So, a very enjoyable and informative first visit.
I returned and received a pair of trial devices which Lindsey tuned to my personal profile. I wore them for two weeks and enjoyed the improvement in my hearing, and enjoyed not having to charge them twice daily.
At the end of the trial period I had no hesitation in ordering my brand new hearing aids and a week later Lindsey fitted my brand new Phonak Audeo l90-Sphere hearing aids. She took a lot of time getting everything just right, tweaking in response to my observations.
The process from beginning to end has been a pleasure. In reception, Eden is always welcoming, and Lindsey exudes confidence and competence, combined with friendliness.

In 2025 my mum chose Almond Hearing in Clarkston to supply hearing aids as replacements to her existing NHS hearing aids. She has never looked back.
Any concerns she had at the initial cost of buying the hearing aids have been put to rest. The improved performance and, in particular, the quality of the aftercare support has been well worth it.
Iain, the audiologist, is highly professional with a great attitude - always patient and caring with older clients. My mum always leaves her check-ups satisfied and grateful to have chosen Almond Hearing.
Regular checkups are included in the cost of the initial package and customers are encouraged to phone / contact whenever any problems are experienced - all support is included.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Very friendly and professional at all times. The staff were able to facilitate an earlier appointment for me due to issues with my ear. Processes explained at all times providing me with reassurances and care giving it was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect. Highly recommend this service.
